We are delighted to announce that The Art Cafe at Robertson Fine Art, Glenrothes is now one of the most popular destinations within the region to enjoy a spot of lunch or coffee and cakes. Whether you are in for Breakfast / Lunch or just a Coffee and Cake
This was our first visit here and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is at the rear of an art shop. It was very tastefully decorated. They had a lovely lunch menu but we settled for coffee and their delicious homemade scones. The service from the staff was excellent and very friendly. I would highly recommend and will be making a return visit

A traditional Pub that does lovely food at good value. Open for food Thursday through till Sunday. Please phone and book to avoid disappointment.
Saw the good reviews so we visited for lunch today. Basic but clean decor and the waiting staff are very friendly efficient and polite. We ordered garlic mushrooms in a creamy white wine sauce and chicken goujons for starters, the goujons looked homemade and were tasty but the accompanying salad leaves were a little discoloured, the garlic mushrooms had very little sauce and what sauce there was was actually black mushrooms were also rather cold portion was also very small - these were returned to the kitchen - see photo Mains ordered were steak burger with cheese and bacon also breaded fish with veg and salad. The burger was rather greasy and lacked flavour, the fish arrived with no veg and chips which I didnât order, with small amount of salad again looking rather discoloured and quite a lot of stalks. The fish was well cooked and tasty but the chips and salad were left uneaten. The dining area is rather noisy with kids running around and the coffee machine being knocked about on a regular basis. The food is inexpensive and 50% is tasty and well cooked ( goujons/fish â mushrooms/burger â) I might be wasting my time replying.... but here goes. You didn't like the Mushrooms starter (one of our very popular dishes) This sometimes happens in the trade, so when my wife explained how the dish is cooked, she offered you another dish as an option.... you said no you didn't want anything else. We told that we would remove the starter from your bill. Your mains arrived and you managed to eat all the "tasteless greasy burger" and our lovely fish. Although you complained about receiving a portion of chips even though you had asked for none. My lovely wife apologised for this terrible atrocity and offered you a free sweet.... you declined our offer. Before I wrote this reply I read many of your reviews already posted and see a trend of an unhappy individual trailing round the country as a wannabe Michelin inspector. Your Foxtons bar review in particular seems to display your trait of belittling establishments.I'm sure you want me to say that we have sacked the waiter and chef and barred any children from our establishment on the back of your review! Sorry no... .We are a small pub in a fife housing estate who trys very hard to provide decent food at a reasonable price to our local family's and regular happy visitors. If we fail to meet our own high standards we try our best to rectify it at source.Sadly, You seemed hellbent on giving us a poor review... can I suggest you avoid our pub in the future and eat somewhere that already has a Michelin star? You may have to spend more than £20 though!

A traditional country pub with a warm and welcoming open fire . Bar is open on Friday's from 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 4pm. The PLough is now a drinks only pub, however we will occaisionally have promotions such as Quizzes or Fishy Friday. Kepp an
Took two friends with us to revisit the Plough, which I hadn't visited for years. It was better than I remembered it and well worth the detour around back roads to reach it. Super friendly welcome, extensive (but not too expensive) menu from which we all chose different dishes and none of us was disappointed. Their cups of soup of the day were big and hot and excellent value for money.

Nothing against staff individually, but there was not enough of them and they were so so poorly trained and had no table manners. The food was either over or undercooked, my salmon was so dry, otherwise would have been lovely. Deserts were to die for though, highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding, if itâs still on special!

Lacking in atmosphere the food was nice enough not outstanding. Donât like paper napkins and no table covers just a personal thing but not for me. We wish we had booked the other restaurant, but it didnât seem clear online where to get bar snacks drinks etc, one member of staff sent us down to the bistro for an afternoon snack as we couldnât check in until 2 only to be told we had to go to the âlounge areaâ we only wanted something light as we had dinner at 7 so back upstairs it was. All a bit confusing Staff were lovely though

Relaxing and welcoming coffee shop, providing fresh, homemade foods and baking also specialising in bespoke celebration cakes to order.
I have now visited Madhouse Bakery on three different occassions and I have been very happy with the service each visit. The afternoon tea is delightful, friendly staff and a great environment.
