I have a traditional guest house located in the center of the old City.
Konaku guest house is a stunning little place located on the top of a hill with spectacular views. It has a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast whilst admiring the beauty of the town. The rooms are traditionally decorated which adds to your experience of discovering Albania. They are spacious and very clean with private bathrooms. There are three rooms available in total so, if you are travelling in a group, you could just rent them all. Highly recommended!

Experience the Ottoman-era architecture of Gjirokaster by staying in a 2-nd Category Monument House carefully renovated and adopted into Hotel Kalemi 2. The place where stone and wood, old and new are combined together with maximum care to give you a unique feeling. Every room is carefully decorated with traditional features and all of them have wooden carved ceiling. All the rooms have private bathroom, flat TV, working desk, VRV Air-conditioning, hair dryer. Some rooms come with sofa, fireplace or balcony. Hotel Kalemi 2 offers free parking and free Wii-fi connection in all area. You can relax siting in the terrace and enjoying the panoramic view of city and the castle. Hotel Kalemi 2 is located in the old center known as Old Bazzar, 200 meters away from The Cerciz Topulli Square, the Mosque and the Old Hammam. You can easily reach the other attraction as the Castle, Ethnographic Museum (Enver Hoxha's House), Skenduli House or Ismail Kadare House, Zekate House just in a few minutes of walking in cobblestone roads for which the City of Gjirokaster is famous.
This hotel is situated near the castle and the bazaar, and is so beautifully decorated that you will be transported back in time, to an ottoman era. Very attentive and helpful staff and the breakfast is delicious. Modern bathrooms,

An amazing & beautiful place. Cured in each detail . The nature is amazing the family who runs this bussiness are such hardworkers . If you have kids, the youngest kid of the family who runs Lord Byron, Ëmbla - (Meaning of her name Sweet ) will make sure that your kids enjoy this mervalous place in each corner . If you will choose only to enjoy the cuisine and not to sleep over, let the owners choose for you, u will have no disapointment. It is absolutely a place not to miss

This place is not in the main tourist part of Gjirokaster and so the rate is much cheaper. The old town is not that far away and it is easier to walk down the hill. It has a Big market by the roundabout which is good for most pick ups and there is another supermarket soe 600m. It is a long way with a case from the bus stops but so are all of the places in the old town! They do not have people with good English but the people are very supportive and helpful. I got a free laundry service ! so phrase book and Googole translate for a bargain stay !

The guest house is located at a very noisy street. There are vans, a bus, and cars passing by till very late night, and people are walking and talking till early morning. The young man who checked us in, came the next day and did not greet us, was just staring at us. Nobody helped us with our heavy luggage when we were leaving (it's quite a long way to the street where the taxi was) even though the father saw us carrying it - we were 2 women travelling. It really was not an example of so famous Albanian hospitality, it was the opposite. Definitely would not stay again. Regret the money we gave them - they even did not say thank you. The first morning there was no hot or warm water in the shower even if I left the water running for a few minutes and had a shower for other few minutes. When I told about it the father, he got angry instead of an apology. Definitely not recommended.

Family guesthouse located in a quiet area near the bus stop to Saranda/Tirana. It's a 30 minute walk from the castle but it's okay since you avoid carrying your luggage while walking up the steep slopes of Gjirokaster. The hosts are very friendly and they speak English. Homemade breakfast.

Good location, easy to walk into town, but also has good parking area. Comfortable roof top for relaxation and breakfast. Had homemade local bread and jam. Charming hosts gave us raki and dessert on arrival.

The position of this building is the best. Near vjosa river you can enjoy your meal in the fresh air. The food is really fresh, tasteful and traditional. The price reasonable for bio food. Kind of difficult road until here, but it is worthy
