We were meeting up with friends and they suggester herons. I had never heard of and when I arrived it was tucked between a row of houses. On entry we were warmly greeted in the restaurant by the staff. The service was excellent and so was the food. we will certainly go back.

Stylishly furnished bar with discrete but interlinked dining area. Comfortable stools and wooden chairs, plus leather dining chairs. Interesting array of prints and photographs adorn the walls, and skilful positioning of plants enhances the chic elegance of the interior.The menu is traditional English with imaginative embellishments. Substantial range of good quality ales and wines, all priced to represent good value. Service from Quentin and his colleagues was impeccably responsive yet gracefully unobtrusive.

We got caught out by a huge tail back on the M25 so pulled off to find nearest reasonable pub with wheelchair access.Super fast service and some of the best pub fish n chips I have had. That said the smashed peas were not good, if they had been better I would have been sad there were only about 7 of them.The kids food was really well cooked but then spoilt by the huge qty of rock salt scattered liberally all over it!My fish really was epic so I wanted to leave better feedback, the service too was friendly and efficient - just what we needed.
