Reviews on French food in Hamburg, Germany. Second only to Berlin in size and population, the city of Hamburg is home to one of the biggest harbors in Europe. A stroll along its many waterways and canals illustrates why it has been called the "Venice of the North." Don't miss a trip to the local fish market (Fischmarkt), the Merchants District (marked by its imposing red-brick architecture), a fine dining experience along the river or a night out in the university quarter. And did we mention the Reeperbahn (red light district)? It's quite famous for its… red lights.

Made a reservaties for 7, walked about 10 minutes from the Marriott hotel. We were wonderfully received and given a choice of tables, it was fairly full with experienced diners given us comfort the place was well liked. We had cocktails, appetizers and a plat principal. The service was fast except for a glass of wine ordered mid meal by a first-day-waiter. Food was great and atmosphere good. Menus in German and English. Not a typical French menu but good experience anyway. Definitely safe choice for a night in Hamburg if you want to talk or enjoy company for a couple.

Location: Close to the Gänsemarkt in a small side alley so pretty close to the city and within easy reach of the shopping area.Staff: generally friendly and knowledgeable but not overly enthusiastic and not really caring (glasses empty, no asking of more water is needed...)Food: May have been bad luck as people with other dishes on our table have been more satisfied but sorry my two lithmus tests for a good kitchen were not passed. The Labskaus was actually dry and overpeppered and the Wiener Schnitzel was way too small (two delivered to make up for this) and the coating far away from what should be delivered. Add to that fatty and soggy Bratkartoffeln and a way too acidid cucumber salad: the food was not enjoyable.Ambience. Rustic but a bit too much on the noisy side. All in all: Hamburg does offer way better food for decent prices.

Since 1998 the breton crêperie of Hamburg and maritime mode boutique.Brittany, Armor, land of the sea, is inviting for dreaming and spending some quality time. Brittanyâs nature, its people and their culture are particularly, harmonically bonded. Ti Breiz
A very cosy Breton creperie. The service was excellent, very friendly and courteous staff who speak English. The galettes were delicious but filling. We also ordered a green salad but the dressing was quite strong with mustard.I loved the quirky little rooms and rickety staircase upstairs. It has outside tables too

The atmosphere comes first and come here if it would be only for this. Sit inside or in their backyard full of green. If you happen to be thirsty or hungry go for it! It is not amazing but definitely very good!
We enjoyed an alfresco lunch on our own deck situated in a small lake surrounded by lovely landscaping. The restaurant is pretty much self-serve and you are given a puck to signal availability of your order at the pass-thru to the kitchen. Recommend for a quiet leisurely lunch.

This was probably the best dinner I ever had. I had seen many highly decorated places, but never before have the expectations been exceeded lit at Seven Seas. I won't write about the food, s it was just for a different world in all aspects.Service was extremly attentive and friendly.Except for one bottle, we did leave the selection of the wines to the sommelier and have been extremly happy with his choices.

The Haerlin Restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten (Four Seasons Hotel) is one of the leading gourmet restaurants in Germany and has picked up 1 Michel Star and 17 Gault Millau points. Head Chef Christoph Rüffer creates light dishes based on c
My expectation was very high since I knew already this restaurant from a visit back in 2017.Everything went very smooth through the small menu until the meat.I did mention to the sommeiler that I wanted a glas of red with the meat coirse and he completely forgot. Once the meat was on the table I did not solicit the red wine since I would have eaten cold meat. In a 2* restaurant this should not happy. After that, service has been slowing down and a series of mistake have been done. The 3 waiters in charge of our table disappeared for a long time, the impression was that there was a party going on in the kitchen.Ordered an espresso and did not receive the small patisserie, which btw is for sure always ready. They brought it 10' after I had already finished my espresso.I had to wait 30' and solicit twice to receive the check.I did remember from my last visit that the small leaflet with the dish description should be placed in an apposit envelope and asked for that, the waiters did not do it.Overall over 3 hours and a half for the small menu is way too much.We left with a bitter taste because we felt abandoned. Should not happen in a restaurant where a dinner for 2 costs over 500â¬.Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Haerlin Restaurant. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Fairmont, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us.
