Find out what Indian restaurants to try in Hamburg. Second only to Berlin in size and population, the city of Hamburg is home to one of the biggest harbors in Europe. A stroll along its many waterways and canals illustrates why it has been called the "Venice of the North." Don't miss a trip to the local fish market (Fischmarkt), the Merchants District (marked by its imposing red-brick architecture), a fine dining experience along the river or a night out in the university quarter. And did we mention the Reeperbahn (red light district)? It's quite famous for its… red lights.

I came in late but was welcomed by a very friendly host. The food was great, actually prepared following my wishes. The price was reasonable, general service very personal. I will come back next time I am in Hamburg. If you like Asian food, this is a recommended place.

Entry to the restaurant located on the first floor is deceiving as when you enter the building on the ground floor from the street, there is a takeaway food counter, empty / disused and unattended, giving the impression the place has closed down. But you persist (as you are REALLY hungry!), find the stairs at the back and go up to the first floor. One male person and one female person are rushing around all over the place, serving at the tables. Finally one of them sees you, guides you to an empty table and disappears. Much later you get a menu, the order is taken in a rush and served whenever the management thinks you cant wait any more and may walk out. All in all, very uninterested service standard, stuffy room with no air-conditioning on a hot summer night and tables crowded together. Food though was reasonably okay and served hot
