A great place to stay, nice and close to downtown Tobermory but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by trees. Fresh breakfasts in a fully-equipped kitchen! Hostesses Martha and Hazel are lovely and sweet

Stayed in Room 106 (SOUTHSIDE).... ...., the Room was quite spacious and exceptionally clean!! Also very quiet. The bathroom could have been equipped with more handicapped bars/rails attached to tub surround and walls..., to help those who have mobility issues. Limited channels on the T.V.

We visited Harmony Outdoor Inn for 2 nights in June and has occupied two of the tents. It was our first time glamping and what a wonderful experience it was. James & team made our stay very comfortable. The property is very well maintained and our stay was quite comfortable. Property is neat and the team is excellent. It sure was the most comfortable way of camping! Parry Sound itself is a wonderful town and the property is located very close to all necessities (wallmart/sobeys/Tim’s/Starbucks/Marks..). We also did the guided Kayak tour with James and it was great as well.

Heathcote Haven Bed & Breakfast has been called by guests "A Hidden Jewel" "An amazing retreat from the city!" It's an incredibly quiet setting with vistas that are stunning. We have 2 lovely suites that are are private. Each has TV,DVD,Bar Fridge,AC,WIFI. Some of our guests like to spend time in their suite, & others like to gather around the island in the kitchen to chat about their day & discoveries.
I recently stayed at Heathcote Haven with friends and used it as a home base as we tackled three portions of the Sydenham section of the Bruce Trail. I stayed in the spacious Valleyview Suite with a comfortable king bed, soaker tub and separate shower, mini fridge and large screen tv. Our rooms were located on the second floor of the home which provided us with privacy. Not that we wouldn't have enjoyed sharing our stories with Jocelyn who, in my opinion, is the perfect host. So friendly and accommodating but also left us to enjoy our time on our own. The rooms are very clean and the breakfasts were hearty. Thornbury is a short drive away which provided us with dinner on the two nights. I would highly recommend Heathcote Haven to Bruce Trail hikers or for anyone looking for a comfortable B&B, hosted by a most warm and welcoming (with a great sense of humor) host.

Room was dirty We found empty bottles of water, someone’s hair brush and a baseball hat behind beds. Dirty fork behind the fridge. Floor was dirty in the bathroom, long black hair in a tub, and on towels. The only nice thing about this place was swimming pool.

New ownership; newly renovated with 11 rooms that are equipped with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, microwave and continental breakfast from 7-10am. Winter rates are $89, summer rates (min 2 night stay on weekends) are $119 plus tax based on double occupancy. Can accommodate trailers, big rigs, etc. All rooms are non-smoking. Inquire about pets. Valid credit card required for reservations.
Found this place after getting off the ferry. Rooms looked nice and the person at reception, Alice, was pleasant. Went for dinner at her suggestion, returned to settle in for the night. First off, no wifi password and not provided at check in. Second, tv cable box didn’t work nor was the internet connected to the smart tv. Beds are hard like you’re lying on plywood. Trying to reach someone for help was no good as no answer despite a couple messages and another number at the front office door was not responded to either. (Eventually did receive the password but it was wrong.) Price was jacked as the whole area had an influx of travellers during the May long weekend. Price gouging, much? Room was big, clean, floors were laminate instead of carpet, a good idea. Fridge, microwave, heater/ac unit all functional. If you’re heading North toward Wiarton and have no other options I’d say it’s ok in a pinch. Otherwise just drive on by.

Located in the historic village of Killarney on the north east side of Georgian Bay, Sportsman's Inn is a landmark hotel and marina. Multi-million dollar renovations were just completed in Oct. 2009 featuring the world famous pub, formal dining room, piano bar and exquisite rooms and suites. Each room in the main hotel has a fireplace, plasma TV, ceramic and glass showers and premium bedding. The hotel is the center of the best of what the area has to offer, full service marina, provisioning in season and is the focal point for boating, fishing, snowmobile trails, hunting, nature trails and everything imaginable for the perfect outing.
All of the housing is owned by the same corporation, but we like the sportsmen's motel the best. Rooms--modest, yet comfortable, impeccablly clean. You'll feel like you're in the north because the motel is so unprentious, and you'll be as comfortable as anywhere. I don't want to cast shade, but the pub and restaurant much better food. We've been to the resort three times, and we found the slower pace resulted in a finer experience. Very solid cooking and fast, personably service. Shout out to the lovely staff at the pub, and a speacial nod to Andreas for helping us out. Frida Kahlo thanks him.
