The bat was nice and not too crowded. We got there late (after 11pm) on a Saturday night. The music is in keeping with the area, and super loud but everyone was super friendly. I got the Bob Marley to drink. It was big and super pretty but very strong! There was no cover, food was decent and the live DJ seemed to be having a blast!

I drove out based on the reviews. First, it is now takeout only. There was a large line. The food was good, but not great. I didn't find the portions to be large, but they were adequate. The prices were in line with other similar places. I would go back, if I was in the area but I would not drive from my hotel on Virginia Ave.
1st time here, service was back we waited 15 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge us, even then it took another 7 minutes the be waited on. The waitress look like a reject from the house of horrors. It took another 10 minutes to get our food and it was horrible!! I really expected more, will never ever eat here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

For a âreal Texas experienceâ, in-the-know BBQ buffs will want to head to this Historic College Parkt hot spot âTrue Texasâstyleâ smoked meats, including âmelt-in-your-mouthâ brisket and ribs âsliced right off a huge slab pulled from the cookerâ and âexce
Small order at counter restaurant. No ambience but the food is reasonably priced and is served in large portions. The brisket is some of the best I've ever eaten - truly melt in your mouth! The pulled pork and pork ribs were excellent too. The sides we had were collard greens, mac and cheese, baked beans - all of which were excellent. We would definitely eat here again!

My wife and I stopped in here during a recent trip. I had the 1/2 smoked chicken and she had the pulled BBQ chicken sandwich both were awesome! My wife bought two quarts of sauce to bring home she liked so much. I went back the next day for breakfast, it was amazing also. If you enjoy old time cafe style places don't miss the place!
