Had lunch during gas fill up at Pilot Travel Center in Tallapoosa, GA, on the way from Tupelo, MS, to Atlanta,GA, A very nice place to eat - had crispy chicken breast special, with sides of mashed potatoes and green beans, and iced tea. Very convenient two for one stop over - gas and meal.

When in a new small town I usually do a drive through noting different establishments and then turn around and pick one to visit. I had gone thorough and needed somewhere to turn around when I saw the perfect driveway to do so. As I was turning in I spotted their road sign. I looked and there behind a nail salon was this great looking restaurant, not visible from the road. Appropriately named I knew I found where I was going to eat.Went inside to find a few locals having their lunch, which is always a good sign for me. Sat down and immediately my server asked if I wanted banana pudding while I looked over the menu. I was a little disappointed that the only BBQ meat offered was pork..which is my least favourite. However I got their burger and BBQ fries. Their BBQ fries is the southern equivalent of Canadian poutine. Home cut fries with pulled pork, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. Perfect. Their sauce was great and I was very happy to have found this place. Maybe the best thing was how friendly everyone there was as everyone said bye to all others how were still there as they left. If you like BBQ pork dishes this is a place to stop if your in the area. A real hidden gem.

Food has gone down in the last 6 months. Our family has been good customers for breakfast and lunch but after my son pulled a hair off his chicken sandwich we said no more. Too many other places. And a hair in the food is uncalled for!

Our steak was cooked correctly, was tender, and was delicious! The baked potato was just as good and the rolls were delightful. Though they were busy, we were seated right away and the table service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. This is a country place with a delightful view of rolling fields in the back dining area. No wildlife appeared during our visit but is reputed to show up at times. Bring cash as they do not accept any type of payment cards. They do take personal checks.

everything is made to order so the chili dogs come out a little faster than the burgers and the burgers are ready quicker than the fried chicken. but it's all well worth the wait. hand pattied burgers are made from real hamburger meat, and dressed like your mama would on a late sunday afternoon. chicli dogs have a solid casing weenie that gives a good snap. the chili cooks all week but it's meaty and not too spicy, more papricka than chili powder. the fried chicken is righteous. not going to put the colonel out of business but well seasoned and carrys a dandy flavor alone and not too greasy. you are gonna need some napkins but you can stop short of sqeegees. great milkshakes, thick cold and good to the very last slurp. it's the kind of drive in meal that is getting harder find each year. go get you some before it's too late.

While road tripping on the 20, we pulled off at exit 5 Tallapoosa, Georgia for the Waffle House sign, but this Georgia Diner caught our eye instead. What a great stop!Main dish plus sides range from $6.25 to $7.50 a plate and includes a drink, a roll and cobbler or banana pudding for dessert. It was all very delicious - Chicken and dressing with gravy like your granny used to make, sweet potatoe casserole that tasted like pie filling, and the banana pudding with old fashioned nilla wafers. Our sweet server Shannon never stopped moving and never stopped smiling. She was a bright spot in that diner on a Sunday afternoon!
