We felt like Mexican food on our first night back in Thomasville and Frida's did not disappoint. Located right in the heart of historic downtown Thomasville it is quite a large place and was busy this Saturday night. However we were sat quickly, and received our drinks and meals in very good time. The food was really good and we were impressed with the service. I hope this place goes from strength to strength, I don't know of any other Mexican places in Thomasville so it should do well if they keep up the good service and keep cooking up great Mexican food!

La Fogata

Had dinner there on May 16, 2014. Ordered Fajita combo for two. Service was slow. The side of refried beans, rice and lettuce served 10 minutes prior to getting fajitas which was not sizzling hot. The chicken and steak was not seasoned and was tough. The onions and bell peppers were undercooked. I only ate two bites of the fajita and stopped, just was not worth eating. I ate the refried beans and rice which by the way was the smallest portion I've ever been served at any Mexican Restraunt. I spoke with the owner and informed him about my above complaints and his only response was " That's your opinion." I then informed him we would never eat there again and his reply was "Good."Subpar food, service, and a owner that is arrogant is everything a customer looks for when spending their money. It's well worth the drive 25 miles to Quitman to eat at Coyoacan Mexican Restraunt. Anyone that has been at La Fugota and not tried Coyoacan would be amazed at the difference in atmosphere, service and quality of food not to mention the effort they put into customer satisfaction.

El Paso Mexican Grill

Reviewed By Smiles4miles

This is my second visit to El Paso. The first was quite some time ago and my experience was totally underwhelming so I haven't returned until now. After discovering the grill is under new ownership, I decided to give them another try. El Paso is much better now but not great. I did not like their chips: tough instead of thin and crispy. The salsa was decent but not outstanding. My tamale was forgettable and shrimp fajitas were only average. I did like the rice very much and my chicken enchilada with verde sauce was delicious. The decor of the restaurant is nice and the male members of the staff were all very friendly. Our server, however, did not smile once during our visit and did nothing to make us feel welcome. Also, we had to ask her to remove our plates from the table when our dessert was delivered. Apparently it hadn't occurred to her. All in all, this visit was okay but we don't plan to return.

Get in the long line because it's packed. There is a menu hanging on the wall and that confused me a bit because I walked up to the counter, told the guy that I wanted a vegan burrito, and he looked at me a little weird.Turns out, it's like Subway - you tell them what you want in whatever you're getting. I didn't know that initially. When I got my food, it was really fresh and the the sweet tea was good too.The queso dip and guac are good. The big bag of nacho chips that they gave us were warm, thin and seasoned - really good.

We have eaten here several times and enjoyed it each time. You can get a healthy or unhealthy (depending on your choices) meal at a cheap price, with super quick service. The food is fresh and tasty. The chips are thin, crispy and hot. Will continue to go back!

Rancho Grande Mexican Grill & Cantina

This is a delightful restaurant that offers good food, good service and good prices. Even though it is a MEXICAN restaurant, my husband and I often get their ribeye steak. It is cut thin but so flavorful and tasty. The chips and salsa/black bean dip are yummy. The waiter was very attentive (as usual). The grilled vegetables need some work - frozen vegetable medley put on the grill. Would be much better with fresh vegetables. The staff recognize their regular customers and always seem happy to serve!
