Often times local folks settle in to places when their pallet adjusts and then claim "best in town". Twins is an average to less-than average Italian restaurant for the family. The salad bar was in need of attending, as food there had hard-coated edges from either being old or not being cold enough and just wasn't in good condition. I believe the dough is made in-house, as well as the marinara, which lacked some flavor. Aside from that, anytime I walk into a restaurant and immediately see bold handwritten notes aimed at potential customers stating what the restaurant will or will not do for a patron in a given situation, it is an immediate red flag. It can be done properly with limitations but this was just plain unprofessional and trashy. It displayed a sense of frustration and even bitterness from ownership and it's a shame. I believe that at some point, this was a thriving local eatery where the family owners had a passion for what they did. The enthusiasm has waned and gone south. We probably won't be back unless we see or hear of a turn around in the business attitude.

A couple of calzones with an order of fried cheese turned out average. The 'zones themselves were large and the accompanying sauce was fine. I would suggest giving a better description of certain website menu items, such as the meatball calzone. It came with sauce on the inside which was unexpected and unappreciated by the one wanting it. Cheese sticks tasted like the fryer and everything else that gets cooked in that oil.

The majority of the last few visits have been disappointing. Hot n ready have been neither. Pizzas that are advertised this way within certain hours should be ready or at least with a minimal wait. Five out of the last six times, I was told I would have to wait 10-15 minutes. Not acceptable and wonât be back for awhile. Maybe a new crew might change somethings.

Although our waiter Chad went above and beyond the duty he was required to do, the overall atmosphere didn't feel family oriented anymore. However, without question, Chad seemed to be doing the job of six different jobs without complaint. I have never met Chad before tonight but I have never received such great service and would like to thank him. And in the words of Forrest Gump, "that's all I have to say about that."
