The golden tenders were fried to a tender crisp. It was our first time ever eating at the brand restaurant so the owner treated us with free drinks. We were given extra sauces, napkins, and utensils. The food stayed hot on our wat back to our room that was about 15mins away. Great food, excellent service, and more than enough to eat.

Austin's is a fun, good spot, located quite conveniently in a building that has a covered porch on three sides. There are fans and TV's, and there is live music on weekend nights. The food is good...barbeque, Brunswick stew, delicious shrimp/corn chowder, big delicious salads. There is a nice area inside, but, if the weather is good, sit outside...a good gathering spot!.....Lane M. Price MD Albany, Georgia

I've been to a lot of restaurants but this one of the worst. I doubt they've ever seen a recipe for Oysters Rockefeller as mine didn't resemble any I've experienced before. The restaurant is divided into smoking and non-smoking, separated by a glass panel and doors. I'm not sure why they even bother as the servers are constantly going back and forth between the two which results in a smokey area regardless of where you are. Service was very slow. The food pitiful. The server was pleasant but inattentive. I honestly cannot think of a reason to return.

We were in town for a convention and brought 10 people here for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations for 7:00. We didnât receive our food until after 8:30. It came out sporadically and my dish (the stuffed grouper) was lukewarm. I called the owner over and sent it back. He scarcely apologized. Another member of our group only ordered sweet potato fries. She received those last, and they were also not hot. My husband had the NY Strip and he said it was not a good cut. Our service was terrible. There seemed to be drama going on out front with multiple people (owner included) going in and out, and all the workers appeared to be angry. This was recommended to us by people who live in town. As for me, it is 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.

The Rocket came recommended by the staff at the hotel where we were staying, it was only a short trip. Located next to a small strip shopping center in a residential neighborhood. We were there at an off hour so it was not crowded. The space type decor was enjoyable. The service was very good, friendly and knowledgeable, the food came quickly, the portions were generous and the food was well prepared and tasty. All in all a good experience and worth stopping by.

A colleague and I went there for dinner on a Monday night. I had the fish tacos (appetizer, plenty if good), a side salad, and an Angry Orchard hard cider. My colleague had shrimp and catfish with sides of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes and a locally brewed IPA. We both enjoyed our food and beverages. The service was very good (thank you, Kaitlyn!). The ambiance was good. It was quiet enough that we could talk comfortably even though we were seated near the bar (the TVs were not blaring). Overall, a very enjoyable experience. We were glad to find a nice place to eat that was open on Mondays!

Our first time here, late lunch on a Wednesday, great surprise. Best shrimp po boy ever anywhere. Served up by the professional, entertaining, and very helpful Desiree! The owner (sorry I didn't catch her name) came over to check on us and make sure everything was ok. And it was. The fries were hot and tasted hand cut. Loved the fact that malt vinegar was on the table. The po boy was on a real po boy roll and if you are capable of getting a mouthful of all the individually perfect ingredients in one bite, you're in for a treat: pickles, cole slaw, cheese?, fresh fresh shrimp, spicy remoulade sauce, lettuce, tomatoes. Watching the others get served heaping bowls and buckets of seafood has me wanting to try it all. Service was superior. We shall return!

We visit Albany each year for a HS soccer tournament and Austinâs is a MUST for us! The food is consistently good! The service is wonderful. This trip we had the opportunity to have dinner and lunch at Austinâs. My husband tried the oysters and I had peel and eat shrimp and we are happy to report it did not disappoint. For lunch we tried the BBQ and it was really good. Love the sauté brussels! Youâll be happy you stopped at Austinâs!!!
