1st time eating here...read the reviews and decided to give it a try...I'm VERY picky about mexican restaurants because I love to cook authentic hispanic food...I always try the carnitas(fried pork tips) in every mexican restaurant I go to 1st because if it isn't good, then the rest of the food won't be either, normally....and they were actually very delicious...fried perfectly with great seasoning and flavors...the side of rice, beans, and guacamole salad was bland but it wasn't bad..my bf had the mexican fajitas, which is your basic style fajitas but also with jalapeños added...they were pickled jalapeños which it would have been better if they were fresh, but it wasn't bad...it was decent..their chips and salsa was decent..the cheese dip w/ jalapeños was good...I got a side of their spicy red salsa and green salsa..both were tasty but the red one was the winner....they're also now serving horchata (rice water with sugar and cinnamon) which is my fav..it was good but I've had better...all in all, we will DEFINITELY be back, when I have a taste for hispanic food and don't feel like cooking...so far, it's the best mexican restaurant here in Monroe, that we've tried so far.. :-)

My wife and I decided to "go out of town" to eat tonight. We settled on Cocina Fuentes because it was opposite the direction we usually travel to eat. We arrived at 8:45 pm on a Friday evening, folks standing outside waiting to be seated. We were told our wait time was about 25 minutes... we actually only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The place was busy, but in spite of that, our waiter was on top of his game; excellent server and service. We ordered our food, my wife ordered beef quesadilla and I ordered seafood fajitas (shrimp, fish, scallops, vegetables). Our order was delivered to our table sizzling, hot, steamy within 10 minutes. We both enjoyed our delicious food. WARNING: When you order the fajitas, at least the seafood fajitas, one order will feed two adults... there's that much food on the skillet. The chef does not skimp out on the seafood. I was not disappointed. Well worth the $15 for the fajitas; $28.77, tax included, for both our dinners.

My whole family loves this place! Itâs very close to where we live, the food is always great, & itâs never ever super crowded meaning you get your food pretty fast. The tamales are even good :) The fiesta fries are among my favorites!

The cheesy chorizo dip was amazing--we devoured it! The appetizer nachos were large. The chicken soup (chicken-tortilla style soup) was hearty and tasty (just needed to be hotter in temperature which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) and I'd get that again any day (I highly recommend). The specialty burritos were so good that my friends kept raving how good it was. They cleaned their plates so well that you could easily mistake their plates for clean ones. This is a nice little hidden gem with great Mexican food.
not la luna anymore..mistico...open rooftop was soooo great when it was laluna now they do not have it open...losing a lot of business with it closed. fyi

This is the best place in town, hands down. Hasn't been open that long and the lines are out the door on weekend nights. Their jalepeno margaritas are delicious and the food is excellent. We haven't been able to figure out how they can keep their prices so low. The waitstaff is warm and friendly and the decor is super authentic. Check them out, you will not be sorry!

My family and I decided to try it, bc we had heard good things about it! Checked the menu online, found something everyone would eat (went for a family member's bday), and when we got there, they had a very limited menu, and many of the things we had found on the posted menu, were not there. If we had known, we would not have gone. The food was decent overall, and the service wasn't that great. May give it another try once they work the opening kinks out.Hello Jessica, Thank you for visiting Rancho Viejo Cantina & TerracePlease receive my apologies regarding our Menu. We are working hard to have the full Menu as soon as possible. We are also implementing constant training for our staff to have great service skills and offer the best hospitality around. Please give us another opportunity. I promise this time won't be disappointed.I look forward to your next visit,Regards,Jose SantosOwner

This is a busy place for good Mexican food. The waiters are quick and friendly. The texano is amazing. The chicken and shrimp are cooked in a cheese sause with onions. The only complant is the shrimp are sometimes over cooked and tough. But it is still good. Good place. Good margaritas!

Arrived Sunday afternoon for a three day business meeting. After checking unto hotel decided to drive around to see what was available. I decided to try out Panchos Mexican Grill.........good decision. It was Sunday, so not to crowed, got seated time I walked in the door. I was greeted by my server before I even got settled asking what I wanted to drink. Quick service, did not forget me either. Ordered the Dos Burrito with rice & beans. Very good. Returned several times to check on me. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like mexican style food.
