We are visiting and staying at a nearby hotel and our first night there we decided to have dinner here. Now I've been to several Cracker Barrels and this one doesn't compete with any of the other ones I've been to. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was really friendly and quick. The hubby got the bacon cheeseburger, kids got pancakes, I got the rainbow trout fish dinner. The pancakes were kind of rubbery and hard to cut and chew. The husband's burger came on toasted bread (Which was weird because the ordered the same thing a few days later amd that time it came on a bun, so obviously they were out of buns the first night and our waitress failed to disclose that to us). The fish dinner was good. The Mac and cheese didnt taste like it usually does. I asked for cornbread and didnt get it until we were finished and leaving because they didn't have any at the time the meal was served. Definitely not on par with the usual cracker barrel service like at the other ones I've been to.

Visited early in the evening, not very busy yet. Server forgot bread and coleslaw side. Food was very good this time, nobody had any complaints about the quality. Server was attentive after things were straightened out after forgetting the earlier missing items. Everything seemed a bit fresher and cooked better this visit.Planning on visiting again now that it seems things have gotten better.

Had dinner there, my usual...grilled shrimp. It was barely cooked. Waitress was fine and the biscuits are always excellent. Was just passing through town on a road trip but was disappointed in their food prep. We're sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with your experience at our restaurant and we'd like to learn how we can make this better. Don't be fooled by the exterior OR the interior of this to-go only restaurant. This no frills restaurant has been around for decades. A simple menu of mostly fried chicken, fried seafood, and fried side items has changed little in years. Prepare to get your month's serving of grease and salt in one meal, but it will be worth it! You will want to phone your order in at least 20-30 minutes before you want to pick it up, or be prepared to wait in one of the three or four chairs available. And, take cash... no checks or credit cards accepted!

Sonny's BBQ of Perry. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
Passing thru this way, we opted to stop in. On a Sat. evening the parking lot was not quite full, thus something is wrong. We were readily greeted and seated. We opted for the chicken / pork option with the std. sides. The price for the salad bar, by itself, was ~$9.00???? The meat portion were ample, however the sides, were kids size, a serving spoon/ a dollop. The drinks were poured in a overtly large glass. This either to avert a quick return or to fill you up on liquids. In short pricey for what it is. Happy Trails!

I try to stay away from chain restaurants, but limited choices directed me to the Longhorn. Dinner was surprisingly good. Steak was perfect. Salad, fresh and very good. Sat at the bar and met and socialized with some great people. Had a great time. The service was definitely a drawback. Being slow due to being busy is one thing, but they weren't busy. Very non-attentive, after 5 min. wait while she kind of just ran around not doing much, had to flag her to take my drink order, had to ask multiple times for items, and a few times while waiting on people was on her cell phone. But - dinner was very good.

The Perfect Pear has a limited serving schedule. We tried three times before finally finally realizing that fact. It was worth the wait and the planning. A quiet cafe, with fine food selections, the Perfect Pear provided us with tasty lunches, pleasant surroundings, and Southern hospitality. The food is all home made and is pricey, but then again it is a locally operated gourmet cafe.

Delicious Hot Fresh Southern Food. Multiple vegetables to choose from. Husband enjoyed the rice&gravy, Lima beans & meatloaf. I relished in a plate of Fried Shrimp, Fried Oysters, cheese grits, turnips and hush puppies. Then Add endless glass of sweet tea for perfection

The Swanson is a quaint restaurant inside a historic home in downtown Perry. Our specialty is classic Southern homestyle cuisine. We do not offer reservations, however, we do offer call-ahead seating. If you utilize call-ahead seating, once your entire pa
We have eaten at the Swanson about 3 times. Always happy with the southern cooking. Price is good and love the atmosphere of the victorian style. We will plan on eating here again and would recommend if any travelers that are passing through Perry, this is easy to find at the Walmart exit.
