Was visiting the area and stopped here on our way back. My husband likes pulled pork. Said it was good. I had the fried shrimp, nice and tender. I really liked their potato salad and backed beans. This is a no frills place, reminded me of a church basement. Silverware but paper and plastic otherwise. Free refills on the iced tea. Very friendly and homey place.

We used a restaurant.com certificate for a late lunch when passing through Clayton. I ordered the fish n chips and my husband ordered the maple glazed chicken. Neither of us were impressed. The fish was heavily breaded, the slaw had little flavor, but my chips (fries) were actually very good. My husband also commented that most of his meal lacked flavor. The restaurant appeared clean and our waitress was very nice although not attentive. She and another employee spent most of the time at another table watching a show on the TV screen. Since the meal was discounted with our certificate, we did get our money's worth but would have been even more disappointed had we paid full price. Although we ate most of it, and we didn't leave hungry, this won't be a repeat restaurant for us.

Where every meal feels like Sunday dinner Sunday Diner is locally and family owned and operated. We serve homestyle southern food.
We stumbled on this restaurant by accident as the place we had originally wanted to go was closed. Boy am I glad that we did. The service was wonderful and I believe that our waitress was the owners daughter. The foot was great and the home made dessert choices were amazing. My husband got an oatmeal creme our that was HUGE!!! We will definitely be coming back and bringing family to try it as well. A wonderful family establishment.

Enjoy a quiet afternoon relaxing on our patio (furry friends welcome), sipping wine, beer, coffee, or tea. We serve locally sourced hand crafted cuisine.
We had lunch at Grapes & Beans yesterday. From the moment they greet you as you come through the door until you leave they treat you like a cherished friend. The ambience is modern farm home and the outdoor patio seating is covered, enabling enjoying the outdoors even on a drizzly day. I had a cup of the tomato bisque and split a grilled cheese sandwich and salad with a friend. The bisque has a lovely layering of flavors topped with black sesame seeds. The grilled cheese was elevated and the side of pearl couscous was delectable. My husband had the bisque and a meatloaf sandwich, both of which he truly enjoyed. We will be back...Thanks for visiting us and the kind words. We hope to see you again soon!

My husband had a hamburger that looked outstanding. It was the American Burger and he said it was very good. I had the Reuben and it was Deee-licious!! The grouper Reuben was recommended but because I prefer the corned beef Reuben, I ordered that and was NOT disappointed. The side was kettle chips and enjoyed those as well. We ordered the Artichoke/Spinach dip and it was probably the best dip I've had. Very unique with lots of cheese. This was a nice surprise!!

Creative burgers, wings, well thought out menu with everything made in house. A full bar including 16 draft beers featuring craft and domestic. Outdoor seating and live music Friday and Saturdays May through October.
We stopped in for a cool beverage and a snack, and the place was busy. We were told 30 minute wait, but luckily found a seat at the bar. Bar tender took good care of us even though it was crowded. We tried the pulled pork nachos and they hit the spot. Kudos on the yellow mustard BBQ sauce. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and drinks. Good mix of locals and tourist, but the locals made us feel welcome. I'm holding back one star for the lack of personality of the hostess, the burger smoke from the kitchen and a bit of cleaning that was needed.

I had an excellent chicken salad sandwich on rye. Had never had pineapple casserole before, but loved it. Give it a try. My wife had wonderful fried green tomatoes and a grilled chicken salad with home made dressing. 2 unsweet teas as well. We shall return

We were visiting the area and checking the menus of all the cute restaurants downtown. The veggie pizza caught our eye and we were delighted with the searing, the decor, the nice view of the sidewalk, and the excellent beer and wine selections. The veggie pizza comes with tempeh bacon and Skye burger meat, both vegan. It comes with mozzarella cheese but, and here is the cool part for us, there is a vegan cheese option. THANK YOU! vegan cheese can be a little glue like, yuck, but this was just the right proportion for a perfect balance of cheese, the aforementioned vegan meat, excellent zesty sauce, and a few veggies. The crust is perfect for thin crust lovers. We shared a glass of Stonewall Norton red wine, $9. It was fantastic, Rich, plummy, and smoky. The Norton grape is an American/French hybrid which grows well locally. I would get it again. The service was also attentive, great job

We had a group of 4 adults and 2 babies, ate breakfast here twice, so we tried many different things on the menu. Yummy Greek omelet, banana bread french toast, two kinds of pancakes, delicious homemade biscuits, oatmeal, plus the usual various types of eggs, hash browns, sausage gravy, etc. The hash browns were unimpressive but everything else was very good. Unless you have a large appetite, order just 2 pancakes because they are plate-size and no one finished 3.
