Find out what European restaurants to try in Arnhem. A sizable city in its own right, Arnhem is best known today as the site of one of the most famous battles of World War II. Given city rights in 1233, it has long been at the center of conflicts because of its strategic location on the banks of the Rhine River. The Battle of Arnhem, part of Operation Market Garden, was fought in September 1944. Advancing Allied forces, in large part due to a series of mistakes, failed to secure a key bridge and suffered defeat, delaying the Allied advance into Germany until the following spring. The 1977 movie "A Bridge Too Far" was based on the events here.

Excellent coffee and delicious apple pie. In a very relax ambiance with motivated staff. Tt staff member might not be so experienced but they have love for their work, their products and their customers. Prices are average. In the nice quartier of Klarendal, with nice few on the trains between Central and Velperpoort (if you are a train hobbyist like I am). Their beer selection we haven't tried but looks tempting.

This place is my favorite restaurant in Arnhem. The menu consists of many smaller dishes that they call 'bites'. It's sort of like tapas, with with a modern, global twist. The menu changes frequently, but some favorites stay (like the highly recommendable goat cheese croquettes). There's always something new to choose from, and most of them are simply spectacularly tasty. It has a great location in the city center, but away from the crowds. The interior is trendy but surprisingly cozy, and they have a nice terrace. The staff is very amiable and helpful, and both Arneym's selection of wines and beers are small but excellent.Definitely try this place out. Whatever your taste in food is, you will not be disappointed.

We started with venison and wild boar sausage, olives, and almonds - on the house and excellent. The Guernsey butter was extraordinary for such a common part of a meal. We asked for the four-course 'surprise' menu and were treated royally. Our first was lobster with foam and a lightly fried asparagus - the lobster was sliced thin with asparagus in basil olive oil and herbs. Sole in a veloute sauce with mushrooms and herbs followed. Then venison in a wonderfully scented reduction sauce with pureed parsley root, fresh peas, carrots, and greens. We ended with marinated strawberries in a strawberry sauce with Moscato wine; buffalo yogurt gelato; and a crisp puffed cookie. A wonderful meal worthy of a Michelin star and I don't understand why this restaurant does not have one.

as we walked through Arnhem noticed this restaurant, so decided to come in and have a meal. Polite, friendly service and helpful waiter, who made sure my choices were gluten free. Not a place for vegetarians, though. The meat, (steak and pulled pork) were excellent, tender and succulent, as were the fries and other items. Prices reasonable as well.

Located in an old building in the center if Arnhem this restaurant is a must for Italian food lovers who like to combine good food with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu gives you ample choice of all things good in Italian cuisine and they also offer an extensive choice on the special menu sheet. Service is excellent and the wine choices are ample. They also offer seasonal foods such as game.

't Amusement is the restaurant of chef Estee Strooker (26). As a 20-year-old girl she opened the restaurant in 2011 after she won the program Masterchef Netherland. Now, more than five years later, she is still as passionate as she was when she started. A
Very nice restaurant, very good food, excellent service. Nice touch, the red dresses.Wine from the Limoux is almost too old, has lost its freshness. The surprise menu was a very good choice as were the oysters. I agree that the waiting time between courses is too long. And would prefer real sparkling water, the one you use loses its sparkle almost immediately.Thank you Cleo and Chef Estee for a lovely evening.

Struggling to find a nice place to dine for a reasonable price in Arnhem, we ended up here. We were ok with the final outcome. Starter, vitello tonato was very good. Main, lamb stew, was a bit disappointing in overal presentation and composition, though satisfactory in taste. Desert was very much ok. Service is friendly and attentive. Setting a bit like a full service restaurant. Overall score 4-5 out of 5. So make it a 5.

Nice and cosy restaurant. Great food, nice wines and a lot of several beers. Staff is very friendly and speaks english, french and german.
Very friendly staffs, and nice food, good atmosphere. Due to unknown reason, the main course was served a little slow. Compared with the other Dutch restaurants which are normally not good enough for services, this restaurant is far more better. If you go to Arnhem, this restaurant is worthy to try.
