Cosy trattoria with traditional Italian menu, costed as a special occasion experience. Modest pasta portions allow for multiple courses; opt for pizza if you're on a budget. The ravioli is exceptional - be sure to specify for it to be done al dente - and grab the seafood pasta if it is on special (not a standard on the menu) as it is beautifully presented and very tasty.

Food was better than average for lunch, but the service was super slow. Nice ambiance though for a lunch or dinner

Set in the hub of the Rosebank CBD is Doppio Zero's flagship restaurant. Located in in the exclusive open air piazza at The Firs, this popular eatery is well frequented for business lunches, casual dinners and weekend getaways.
I walked around the Firs looking in at all the restaurants and I immediately noticed the alert, interactive watrons and a lovely ambiance.I'm glad I chose to eat at Doppios Zero, the staff are friendly, helpful and assertive, When you ask for advice, they give it boldly- KUDOS!they know their menu and they keep their eye on you without being intrusive- KUDOS!Maybe many others also offer excellent food, but its the experience overall that counts in points. My pasta dish was very hot, on a hot plate, as pasta must be and the advice on choice from my watron Collen, was 100% spot on.I could see most patrons were also really enjoying the evening- the food, service, company- ambiance.

Very disappointing meal at exorbitant prices ( value for money) Pasta was penne from the packet and the sauce was heated salty cream and some bacon was thrown on top. I had better meals from a packet. This restaurant is in Melville, we should have known better because the place was almost empty when we arrived and left. I was not in the mood to complain after a 600km drive. I sincerely hope they will pull up their socks.

This restaurant has a lovely dining area that's almost picture perfect and creates a sense of peace and tranquility. Service is very relaxed - I finally asked the chef if they're open after waiting 15 minutes for any assistance. The menu is extensive with a focus on Italian dishes and salads/grilled dishes are expensive and fairly limited. I opted for the chicken salad - a small meal that was tasty but not of the standard that I would have expected from this type of restaurant. All in all an average experience

If you're looking for a drink in this area, some places around this area have long lines, and ridiculously burly security, so here's a bar that was open and welcoming.Busy inside and out, we sat at the bar and marvelled at the appetite for shots around us! The drinks incl cocktails are very nice, and tremendous value, and the people watching was fun too.

Unusually, Francoâs doesnât charge corkage on the first bottle of wine you bring. Isnât that nice! This cosy restaurant has good food at plain prices, a lovely homely atmosphere, no pretentions and pleasant, ordinary, unfussy South African service. Nothing special, just a hearty enjoyable meal in lovely company at a reasonable price. What more could you want.
