It’s clear to me that volume of patrons here count more than service. What a dissapointment. First time in Johannesburg to a venue that everyone raved about, and it was not worth raving about!I felt sorry for our hosts that took is here and were let down by the staff of this venue. While we were there 2 other tables fought with the manager because of poor service aswell. The concept is great and granted some of the beer is good, but thats it... we never had a chance to order a meal due to the poor service from our waiter. Can’t even tell you who he is, he never looked like he had any interest in serving us.Gilroy, best restaurant for how many years in a row??? I THINK NOT!!!! Hi David,We are most distressed to hear of your disastrous visit. We work very hard to make sure that everyone has a good time, and we strictly limit the number of patrons in order to maintain a usually high level of service. In order for us to investigate this incident, please be so kind as to describe where you were sitting, on which day you visited, and if possible, the table number. We will do everything in our power to make this up to you, if given the chance.

Great craft beer. I do recommend the stout. The ginger one a bit too much ginger but try them all and take some home. Generally great crowd and very nice menu. Child friendly with some stalls around to get souvenirs etc. But for me its all about the beer. And the host is one good fella

Visited my cousins in SA a few years back and they took me and my mum here. Service was a bit slow and it was crowded, but when we got that food boy did it hit. Definitely try it out if you're a sensible person and don't eat McDonald's, lol. It is a bit pricey as I recall tho, so make sure you watch your tab when ordering.Well, the customer is always right, and in this case, we'd have to say you're clearly an expert on good food! We can't wait to have you back again soon.Cheers,Robyn
