I haven't been to this restaurant in around 30 years, the inside is very similar to my last visits, a new addition, Sushi bar, Now with a better view, and outside seating. Service was good ordered the wine, this arrived almost instantly. Starters, Spring rolls, all round, best we have had. For the mains, Sushi, Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork chow mien and vegetable Green Tai curry, we were very satisfied and enjoyed, so over all a successful gathering, but an expensive luncheon around R250 pp

My local works colleagues had reserved a large table by the window for a mid week evening dinner at the Villa Bianca recently. Parking is for free outside, just off the road. In fact there is nothing special about this area - seemed rather a strange location for a high class restaurant but it was, nonetheless doing a brisk trade on the evening that we were there.Getting the drinks in with a crowd of around a dozen diners was a bit of a challenge but our dedicated waitress did her best - very successfully in fact. I followed her recommendation and had a Jack Blacks draught beer to start off with. As we were about to order our food from the extensive and very comprehensive menu of mixed international offerings (Italian, Chinese, Japanese, South African etc.), our waitress returned to cite a plethora of extra specials in glorious detail. Wow. What a memory. As it was I went for the snails as a starter - swimming in delicious garlic butter. And for the main course I went for steak served with a blue cheese sauce and an avocado on top. It was served with cooked vegetables. I left the choice of the wines to the local experts. We started with a bottle ofPinotage Kanonkop 2016 and then followed that with a bottle of Merlot Meerlust 2015.Some of us had desserts. I didn't. I was full and very satisfied. This is truly a restaurant that I can thoroughly recommend.

I do think that Hashi is slightly underrated.Their menu is big, diverse and different. Their prices are also reasonable. They have specials on Mondays, Tuesdays and a sushi buffet on Sundays. The buffet is great because you take what you can eat and it's more of an experimental buffet rather than a boring, run-of-the-mill sushi meal. The buffet has a lot of different-style sushi so you can explore your sushi taste buds.Service is also very friendly and they have some seriously wicked cocktails - you'll have to order a second coke if you get the Long Island Ice Tea... they are not stingy with their alcohol in the slightest!Give it a try. It's by far the better and more value-for-money sushi joint we've been to.
Where to eat Japanese food in Germiston: The Best Restaurants and Bars

My husband and I ate here almost daily, during our week long business trip. The food was exceptional. Wish we had a place like this nearer us! The salmon roses were the best we've ever had, and the Japanese Oysters were sublime!! The prawn teppanyaki, and the chicken teppanyaki were delicious and the portions were huge! The soups were also outstanding. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside, but very simple and comfortable on the inside. The staff were also fantastic. Highly recommended

I always try and avoid giving bad reviews but we have tried this restaurant before and was disappointed then and have no inclination to return. No sign of management. Waitresses not a clue about hosting skills. Waited to be offered a drink. Never happened. Eventually asked and were looked at as though we had a cheek to ask for something to drink. Rude. Needless to say, we paid for drinks and drove from Illovo to Rivonia to dine at Japa (worlds apart in terms of service and attitude). And Japa was full.In hindsight my husband recalled us having left on the previous occasion due to poor service as well. Restaurant was empty. We were the 1st table to arrive. Never again! PS Japa cheaper as well!

We had a gathering of a big group of friends that was arranged 6 weeks in advance .Deposit paid and we were sitting in area not part of normal restaurant activities , and that they use for functionsSuddenly without advising us before meeting that we need to be our by certain time , rude manager came to say we need to be out in 30 minutes. After spending a big amount of money.Be careful they do over charge big groups with drinks , and although you know it is not possible but difficult to proveWaiters and assistant manager and food was good Be careful of rude manager and their ability to overcharge for drinks Hi GerhardI'm sorry to read about the poor service you recieved, this is not the standards that FireRoom strives for. Please can I request your contact details so the owner can call you for more information about the night in question?Regards

This restaurant came highly recommended by a few friends and I decided to try it out. Ordered a take away of the chicken noodles and some sushi. The sushi was average and the chicken noodles were completely burnt. Waste of time and money. Deffinately not worth the drive there or the money spent.
