We called to make reservations and were told no pet rooms, we made a reservation online and upon arrival there was a pet room.....we made reservations for dinner....our second stop on the PCH trip. Our waitress was obviously not a fan of the new chef and didn’t know the specials for the night. We ended up paying a corking fee and drinking our own wines, paired with an excellent cheese board and dinner....ribeye and salmon! We will be back, the hostess and other waiter were amazing and the hotel and restaurant are also amazing!

Easy, fun place to get your coffee on the run! Stopped by on our way north on Highway 101. We were NOT disappointed!

we stopped here once before and enjoyed our meals, was surprised i hadn't written a review - not at all like me. we stopped again and was pleased again with the service, the food. hubby had (again) a chili-dog with fries. dog and chili and cheese and onions were quite good. fries were very good. my grilled chicken sandwich was excellent - chicken breast was large and juicy, fries were plentiful - too many fries, actually, for me. fountain drinks were refillable - always a plus in my book :).
service was terrific. i always check what other people are eating and every else's plate looked really good, too. and they appeared to be very happy munching down.
we were in town (garberville) when the temp was in mid-90s, so we appreciated their air conditioning and overhead fans :).
p.s. this establishment appears to be a real favorite of the locals.

This was a most welcome surprise and exceeded expectations. Very nice surroundings and great service. Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented. This place definitely has it's act together. As a bonus there is a bar with live music. Believe it or not there is fine dining in Garberville.

We are a locally owned family restaurant located in downtown Redway. We serve French style paninis, salads, sandwiches, and soups made with organic and local ingredients. We have a full juice, smoothie, and wheat grass bar, and we serve beer and wine. Come enjoy our outdoor patio seating, or call in an order for convenient pick up! (707)923-2030
While staying in nearby Garberville, we searched for somewhere to eat dinner. We drove to Redway and found The Lost French Man. It was a quaint little place. It was busy at dinner time. We were in no rush and we enjoyed watching the chef prepare the food. The menu was not the standard pizza menu. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. She explained we should order our pizza the way we want it. We ended up getting two pizzas with four different types of toppings. To our surprise and delight, the pizza was excellent. The beer was great too. We really enjoyed our experience and the excellent pizza. When we travel back up that way, we will make a point to stop at The Lost French Man for dinner!

Friendly staff greet you at this small but delightful bistro. Fresh bakery goods are delicious. Had breakfast bagel (Jalapeño and cheese bagel) as well as a ciabatta breakfast bun. Yummy! Saw several diners order and received the Asian salad which looked terrific. Coffee is freshly brewed and plentiful. Very popular place which is nice to see given the effort made by staff.

This hidden gem is a great garden restaurant with live music, friendly and accomodating staff and fun, friendly regulars! We received personalized attention from the owner who made our wine sampling adventure absolute fun. One of the vintners came over to our table and chatted with us for a long time. The menu is limited but we only had appetizers (which was unique and excellent) and wine, which was our sole purpose. Love this place, it was so quaint and relaxing. A very fun night! If you are in a hurry, want standard, standard restaurant fare or are not a stop and smell the roses type person-don't bother. This place is meant to be taken in and leisurely enjoyed.

All organic produce with carnivorous, omnivorous, vegetarian and vegan options. Gluten free choices, Made to Order Organic Juices and Smoothies. A Humboldt County tradition since 1977.
Good breakfast food in a cozy setting. The restaurant serves regular diner food, eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc. But also has matte, organic juices, yogurts. The counter staff knew folks' orders before they even sat at the counter. Our wait staff was friendly. Service was good.

Not many choices in shelter cove, but this pizzeria is perhaps the best of any we've had. You won't be disappointed.

Peering in the window from outside, the diner looked like it was stuck in the late 1950's and what I wanted was an old-fashioned breakfast sandwich from my youth. But the ham, egg and cheese on sourdough bread with potatoes on the side was average, at best. The coffee was weak and, even though the place was virtually empty, service was slow.
