We went there 2 times in 3 days. Not that there were no other restaurants around but the service provided was superb. Bossam was ok, dried pollack soup was good and spicy cold buckwheat noodles was excellent. Banchan is different than what we have had so far. After our meal, the boss even offered to send us back to our guesthouse which was about 30 minutes, which we politely declined as the weather was perfect for walking. Now that's service.

I really appreciate the hospitality demonstrated by the owner, Mr Kim. We had a good chat with him about local Korean food and culture. As for the food, the ingredients for shabushabu were very fresh. Having a bowl of rich flavored shabushabu soup after the meal is a luxury in winter. The kimchi pancake is a must-try. I really recommend this restaurant for those who come to yong pyong.
High quality beef, delicious side dishes, and nice atmosphere. The staff was very helpful, and one did speak English very well. Before entering the restaurant, you pick your beef in a separate area. There was a wide range of cuts from which to choose, and
Wow, what an experience! "Korean Barbecue" aka "beef-n-leaf" done up proper! The whole crew hovered over us making sure we understood what we were ordering (they phoned a translation service and handed us the phone!), and how to cook all of it in the traditional way. The side salads and kimchi varieties were delicious. We ordered one portion of ribeye, one of skirt steak, and one of something else for 4 adults and 2 children, and we had plenty of food. The staff doted on the grandchildren, and sent them home with buckwheat snacks and boiled corn for a bedtime snack :-) Don't let the language barrier deter you from enjoying this traditional Korean pasttime.

CYC ( 2017.02.28 ) My family visited this restaurant for dinner with Korean beef. This area was famous for representative Korean beef in Korea, and we tried to eat this beef. We ordered Set Menu with Assorted Grilled Beef for three plates, that's delicious. But the price was a little higher than I think, and the quantity was not enough to us. Except the price, all was not bad and the beef was delicious.

This is at the Yong Pyong Ski Resort.Initially, we were skeptical about the food quality as there isn't anyone eating there. We decided to give it a try.We ordered Cheeseling - chicken pieces coated with cheese. It costs about KW$25,000. We thought it is very expensive for a pax portion. Not until we open up the box of chicken, we realised that it can serve 3 to 4 pax. It tastes great! It comes with a box of preserved white carrot which serves to cool your body after eating fried chicken.

We were recommended by our hotel concierge to come here as we wanted to go to a Korean restaurant popular among the locals. This restaurant is famous as they breed their own cows and the beef comes directly from the farm to the restaurant to ensure freshness and quality. When we arrived, we had to go to the raw meat section to choose the kind of beef that we liked. There was a wide selection of meat with different price ranges. After choosing, you will have to pay and then proceed to the dining section next door.We were seated and then we had to BBQ the beef ourselves. There were condiments like fresh lettuce, garlic, chili, etc provided and you can replenish them yourselves at the front counters. The beef was very fresh but it lacked flavors. If you enjoy BBQ beef, then you will like the beef here. You will also have to a coverage charge per person for the condiments being served.Overall, the price is rather high as you are paying for the freshness of the quality beef.
