Galway, Province of Connacht Food Guide: 3 Tuscan food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Barna

November 27, 2019 Yuk Petri

Find out what Tuscan restaurants to try in Barna. Bearna (anglicized as Barna) is a coastal village in Connemara, west of Galway city in County Galway, Ireland, on the R336 regional road. Once a satellite of Galway city, the village is now rapidly becoming one of its suburbs. Officially, the village is regarded as Irish speaking and is therefore a constituent part of the regions of Ireland that make up the Gaeltacht. However, because of its absorption into the city, it has recently become a mainly English speaking village. Nonetheless, Irish is still the main language of its western and northern hinterland and the village has now effectively become the gateway to the largest Irish speaking region in the country

Da Roberta's Ristorante & Pizzeria

We had lunch here our first day in Galway as we were staying in the Salthill area. We were so impressed with our lunch as both of our meals were wonderful and the service was impeccable. Since we enjoyed it so much for lunch we decided to go there the next evening for dinner and this time had a mediocre experience. The service was spotty and the food was just ok. It was so disappointing as we totally loved it the first time. So with a five for lunch and a three for dinner - this ended up being a four.

Wonderful meal with a fantastic atmosphere. Very authentic italian food. Desperately wanted to try the Tiramasu, but was far too full! We had salmon slices, as well as Arancini al Ragu, for starters, which were devine! Our mains were Polo alla Valdonstana (chicken breast with ham and sauce), and the Agnolotti di Carne (meat Ravioli....), which were both fantastic! Highly recommend this restaurant.
