I'm not sure why this place has such high ratings... the room smelled like body odour, which never really went away even after opening the window. The bed was neatly made with clean sheets, so it must be on a surface they did not clean. Moreover, there was mould on the roof and in the bathroom. Furthermore, the wifi was so bad that it basically didn't work. That aside, it was the smell that killed it for me.

It was magical arriving in Lires along our Camino route.....sunny evening along the river. The cabins are really tastefully kitted out and very comfortable. It is a sleepy little place and it was our favorite spot on the few days of walking. The cafe/ restaurant that is beside them is dinky with lovely food and a great bottle of gin!

This was a great place. Big thick stone walls and a rustic feeling. It was a bit cold but they had enough warm blankets. It was really clean and the washroom was big. I could not get WiFi in the room... I had to go in the corridor... I m suspecting it s because of the stone walls??? It didn't bother me at all. The owners were great and the meal was perfect. Great place to stop along the camino. It has the smallest church on the camino just beside the in.

Gracias, guapas. Ramón.

There were 3 of us on the Camino Invierno and fortunately could get to this country house at the end of our day's walk as we had a car. Carmen is very gracious host and we were happy with our (single-occupation double) rooms, which had plenty of sockets. There is one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs but sharing was not a problem. The surroundings are beautiful. The continental breakfast was fine, if not overwhelming. Two of us would have liked some fruit. The wifi was a bit problematic at first but acceptable once it was working, after a password problem had been been solved by a call to one of Carmen's daughter. Nice gift of cherries from Carmen as we left. We didn't eat in the evening but only because we'd had a large late lunch.
