Abundant wildlife above and below the waves draws eco-tourists to Ecuador's Galapagos. Get up close on a stroll or in a Zodiac boat. Snorkel and dive with denizens of the deep, from sea lions to sea turtles at Santiago's Cousin's Rock. Hike by finches, flamingos and iguanas along the Darwin Trail. Admire Sierra Negra Volcano on Isabela. As visitor numbers are limited within the islands' National Park, book your boat tour through a tour operator. Visit January through April for the best snorkeling.

This is an attractive, welcoming hotel with excellent service. Many of the rooms have balconies with scenic views of nature and the ocean. It's in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to Charles Darwin center and the shops/restaurants on the island. Manager Carlos was helpful with everything.

A beautiful, unobtrusive apartment suites and rooms with private bathrooms building that overlooks the Dry Tropical Forest in Galapagos National Park on Santa Cruz Island. Large, open rooms are warm, welcoming and brand new appliances make for a very comfortable stay in Ariana's Galapagos Hostal. Being only a 15 minutes walk (5 minutes biking or 3 minutes taxi ride) from the sea front and 2 minutes to the nearest convenience store. Is perfectly located at the edge of the town, were is nice to rest well, away from the noise of the downtown of Puerto Ayora. If you love to be close to nature of Galapagos National Park dry tropical Forest and enjoy our organic full american breakfast homemade style meanwhile you have a nice view from our terrace of the ocean in the distance from one side and the mountain of the extinc volcano on the other side. Having the privilege of the visit of Darwin finches, Galapagos mockingbirds and yellow warblers at breakfast time. A perfect place to feel at home
Hotel is quite far from the waterfront, but its not a big issue as the walk is nice 15-20 min or you take a cab which is all time available for 1,5$. Its called Hostal but rooms are like in a Hotel. They are nice and clean. At the roof top you have nice view, tables and a bar which was not on duty when i was there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wanted to change my flight and the receptionist was very helpful and even wanted to go with me to the agency in town which was unfortuntely not existed anymore. For it class i can strongly recommend to stay there

Absolutely criminal and cannot believe these people are in business! Explicitly told them I was only going to be there for 3 days on arrival - instead of the 5 originally booked - and refused to acknowledge the change even though there was 72 hours notice. Then tried to use the credit for friends which they had agreed to and decided against it upon check out. I am seldom angry at a place but leaving there - and now leaving the island - I have a sour taste in my mouth. They went out of their way to be as difficult as possible and nickel and dime for absolutely ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. If I heed any advice, avoid this place.

No one was there when I arrived and when the owner showed up she took me to a room that was dirty, and smelled very horrible. She did give me a different room when I told her I would have to leave. Eating area was dirty, very loud & inconvenience neighborhood at night. The owner is very kind and helpful which made up for a lot and she did give me a good room but only after I was really freaked out. She also did arrange a very nice and reasonable tour of incredible areas on Santa Cruz.

This place is OK. It is close to town and some beaches so that is nice. I thought the breakfast was good. The rooms were very large, but unattractive. If they got a good decorator it could be very nice. A lot of creepy crawlies in the rooms. Did not bother me because nothing was biting me. But this was alarming to the other ladies in our group. The pool area was beautiful but would benefit from bar service. The owner came out personally to serve us breakfast and she drove some of our members that were out late at night, which I thought was very thoughtful. The place does not look like the photos.

Costa del Pacifico is a clean, modern and affordable stay just one block away from the water in Porto Ayora. We offer comfortable single, twin or queen sized beds with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, cable television and more. Laundry service is available for a small fee. Free coffee, tea and drinking water is available throughout the day. We are just a few blocks from the port, and within easy walking distance to the Charles Darwin Research Station and Tortuga Bay. Enjoy your stay in comfort - with Costa del Pacifico.
Located on the first floor. It was clean and minimalist. Bedroom for two had a bigger bed and a single with a balcony and a bathroom. Main issue is with noise overnight. Started off with ear plugs and managed 4 hours but then mid morning there were people chatting outside, busses driving pass. Avoids room 6 due to noise! Bathroom was ok, towel were frayed and required changing. Bed quality good. Front desk helpful.

We shared an apartment with some family friends of ours and had plenty of room. The location isn't a far walk to the main part of town but with taxis being so cheap, you can be anywhere in a matter of minutes.

Galapagos Chalet is a guest house with a familiar environment, just like being at home with a formidable atmosphere of a wonderful hotel. It is located in Galapagos Islands in the exclusive Punta Estrada, two minutes ride with a water taxi to Puerto Ayora and one minute walk to the beach "Playa de los Alemanes". Punta Estrada is a place without cars, so you can enjoy the sound of the ocean and with a great variety of bird sounds. We offer two big suites with terraces, equipped with private baths, hot water and no TV, as it is an Eco Guest House, and 2 beautiful rooms with a pleasant sea-breeze, views over the water. The price includes continental breakfast, for the rest of the meals there is a great variety of restaurants nearby .
The Galapagos Chalet is one of Puerto Ayora's best kept secrets. Hidden away on a quiet peninsula across the bay from downtown, Galapagos Chalet has a feel of quiet, tropical seclusion in one of the town's most convenient properties. Located along the footpath leading to the iconic Las Grietas, you are literally only steps away from fine dining, a beautiful white sand beach, and the 24 hour water taxis ready to scurry you back over to the hustle and bustle of Puerto Ayora's touristic downtown. The rooms are spacious, have stunning water views off expansive private hardwood decks and include a small kitchenette for storing sundries and doing light cooking (a full kitchen is also available in the common area in case you wanted to do heavier cooking). Pilar, the owner and manager, treats each guest like family and makes herself available for your every need, from booking adventure excursions to recommending the best traditional seafood in town. My stay at the Galapagos Chalet was much more than a visit to a typical hotel or resort, it was like coming home to the most beautiful and nature-filled place on Earth. To quote The Terminator, "I'll be back"!
