Den Bla Kirke is located on Lundevej in the heart of Svendborg. Here you will find one of Funen's most unique meeting and banqueting venues, which provides the perfect frame for both business meetings and private events.

We went there because family members from the area had recommended this restaurant to us, so much so in fact that they accompanied us to it so that we could have lunch together. Three of us had fish, I had meat. I was moderately satisfied, the fish eaters decidedly negative. The fish was half cold and not very tasty. The service was bad, slow and rustic, not to say rude. It also took ages to get coffee afterwards. The bill was much too high for the quality offered. We went to a café the day after and had something very similar served to us for less than half the price paid at Hotel Troense. Admittedly, the café did not have a view, but a pretty view is not enough. Our advice is this: Enjoy the view from the outside. Do not enter. It is a highly overrated place. The place sells itself as a first rate establishment, but if you want to belong to that category you cannot afford missteps like the one we experienced on a quiet day with few guests.Kære Niels EJeg takker for din anmeldelse, og er da ked af at vi ikke har levet op til dine forventninger.

We have made a restaurant that we would like to eat at. The food is simple, the taste is deep, the service is flying, and the room gives you a hug. A contemporary brasserie, with focus on the vegetables, great quality and fresh fish or meet.
We had the pleasure to dine at this small and cozy restaurant. Our expectations were high and we were not dissatisfied. The food served was not ground breaking but nevertheless very well prepared-Sea bisque with delicate flavours (and som awesome bread)-Crisply fried veal on paprika/cream sauce and maskhed potatos (basically a new version of Beuf Stroganoff)-30 month old Comté cheese with browned, melted butter and crisp walnuts- Chokolate tarte with ice cream etc.The chef definitely knew how to get the best flavours out of the raw materials - unfortunately we were too polite to lick the dishes. To this we ordered the wine ad libitum option and was positively surprised by well chosen wines (Rosé, White, Red) generously served. The place was saturday night busy, but nevertheless the waiter was very attentive (without being at our necks all the time) and had a good sence of humour. And the price? Absolutely reasonable (Less than DKK 550 per pers, including additional dessert wine)All in all a very positive experience where we felt that we received far more than just value for money.

Casual, minimalist Restaurant and wine bar, classic French cuisine with a local twist, wide european wine list, nice courtyard, smiling and friendly service.
We wound up at Thudes by virtue of two separate recommendations.Food was outstanding! My spouse had the steak - cooked perfectly, flavored perfectly, and in no need of the additional taste enhancers offered. Divino!!!I had the grilled fish and it to was cooked perfectly, presented perfectly and delicious.Expensive, but worth it....!

Salig Simons Gaard is the epitome of a French bistro, which you know from Paris' many wonderful streets. Here you get served an ensemble of French classics for lunch. For dinner we serve our special all inclusive menu for 500 DKK per. person
Dinner - Svendborg Night 2. It's good we booked because the tiny 'bistro' was packed and people did indeed get turned away. I love the concept - only a single set menu - so no fiddle faddle having to decide. We opted for the fancier wine-paring menu and weren't disappointed. It was a lovely long leisurely meal. Looking forward to eating at their sister/brother restaurant Resumé on Tuesday.Just one niggling criticism. Twice we were offered an extra glass of wine between courses. How sweet we thought. We have experienced in other restaurants offering wine menus. But no. We paid and this had not been explained. The waitress should make that clearer.
