My wife and I recently stopped in the beautiful town of Fredericia, Denmark on our Baltic Cruise. During our stroll down the main walking street in Fredericia, we ventured into the Den Gylden Ovn for coffee and pastries. Both were delicious! Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Busy place. Highly recommend giving this a try when in Fredericia!

We visited the Café Vivaldi in Fredericia whilst visiting the town during a day stop over. We had taken a walking tour during the day and stopped off here afterwards for a cup of coffee and a cake. We ordered our drinks and a large cookie inside, and took a seat outside in the afternoon sunshine at one for the many tables set out along the pavement. The waitress that served us spoke very good English (which was great as our Danish is non-existent)! The coffee was served in a glass rather than a mug which is very âcontinentalâ and was very good. The street here is quite wide and pedestrianised so we did not feel cramped and opposite was a large water feature though this was not working at the time of our visit. The café was reasonably busy with a mixture of tourists and what appeared to be locals as well, all in all a very pleasant venue to enjoy your drink and watch the world go by.The price of our visit was relatively high to what one might expect to pay in the United Kingdom though whether this was due to the currency exchange rate or a higher cost of living in Denmark we were not sure.Dear Stewart.Thank you for your fine review. We are pleased that our coffee and cake tasted great and that you enjoyed your stay in Fredericia. If you visit Fredericia again, you are very welcome :-) :-) Best regards, Lina - Vivaldi Customer Service

We visited Cafe Razz in May 2018, we sat outside in the sunshine but it blew a little so we were offered some blankets to take around us. Great service, great view of the water with the little town bridge in the background

At Mauritz you have the opportunity to either enjoy the meal in the our cafe or have it as a take away - we cater for everyone! Whether you would like to have a cup of our freshly made coffee or a nice cold beer with friends or enjoy a meal with your chil
We had a coffee in cafe razz and it was really busy so decided that weâd find somewhere quieter for brunch, we walked past cafe Mauritz and it looked inviting and empty (not always a good sign)We were greeted and offered a seat wherever we wanted and then the lady suggested a sea view table, which was nice of her We both ordered three items from the brunch menu and it was delicious I had salmon and cream cheese, chips and a stuffed mushroom, also served with four different breads and butter My friend had similar but went with egg and bacon and sweet potato fries The service was exceptional and out server was funny and friendly, the food was really nice and just the right amount to fuel the walk around middlefart I really donât understand why it was quiet and razz was full, maybe as thereâs no parking at Mauritz Iâll definitely return and try one of the signature burgers and hope the standards of this visit are the normal levels Thank you for the tasty brunch

I started the day with cappucino and came back for lunch. There was only two options: ryebread sandwich with ham or with salmon. We choose salmon and it arrived with a lot of avocado pear as well. Freshly made og served with a big smile !

Definition of a burger can be difficult depending on where you are. I believe that different countries have their own opinion how a burger must taste. If this burger was the role model in Denmark then I will become vegetarian. The bread was extremely large and of a different kind than normal. The patty was regular minced meat instead of prime rib and fried in oil too long time so it was hard hard to eat. But even worse was the onion fried in butter drenching the whole burger in fat. And a lot of thousand island dressing all over. The fries was better. All in all, if you like quantity instead of quality and fatsoaked overcooked minced meat, this is for you. The staff was very friendly and nice and running like rabbits to help all customers. They will have 5 star's the burger 1 so average is 3
