We start by roasting our own coffee, then we grind each cup and brew it right before you drink it. Can you get more fresh than that? All of our tasty baked items are gluten free and we are pursuing a lunch menu - coming soon! We have a rotating monthly artist for your viewing pleasure and every Friday night we have a band, for your listening pleasure!
Happy Creek is a great little shop. I've been to the Purcellville location a few times, but I like the Front Royal original better. Good coffee, good food and friendly workers. Their beans are roasted in house; they're not exceptional, but solid. Pour-overs are available, and the barista was very friendly as he prepared the coffee. It' cozy inside, but with plenty of tables/seating. A nice coffee shop to visit.

This is a terrific place as long as you're willing to drive about 10 minutes off the main highway. Ben's offers several different styles of Asian cuisine, including Thai and Korean. Everything is made fresh and authentically seasoned. Set your GPS and enjoy a great, reasonably priced meal.

Yummy homemade ice cream and friendly staff makes this old fashioned ice cream parlor a worthwhile stop! Even have flavors like kale and basil tomato. Hubby got green apple and then orange cream and my two scoops were white raspberry and salted caramel. So good! They have non-dairy options too. Across the street is the town park with live music. Worth the trip!

Nothing particularly great about this small cafe, other than good quality food items, reasonably priced and provided with friendly, prompt service. Bagels, muffins, coffee ( the ice coffee was very good) and limited sandwiches make this a nice quick stop is time is a factor or you are not very hungry.

This is the 2nd time me and my friend visited traveling from Baltimore Maryland to Luray Caverns Luray Virginia. I'll always stop here! Last things first! The frozen peppermint bark custard brought back memories of Christmas gone by! Large pieces of peppermint and bark...Oh my.. cant imagine anyone not liking this. Enough said. .. We had the burgers of course as I don't recall anything else offered. We ordered cheeseburgers and fries. We sat down to our table to wait for the burgers to be delivered. What?? At a fast food restaurant you might ask. Yes indeed. The place was cheerfully decorated with a full size Christmas tree to put you in the spirit. Our order was delivered to us with a smile, must be that southern hospitality! Our burgers were perfectly prepared medium as they were juicy and hot served on a nice size roll. And the fries, homemade
Fast food? Yes again. And the prices..excellent. Thank you all servers and cashiers for making our visit happy. See yall next time!

Casual, eclectic and fun menu. Brunch on Sundays, picnics, take-out or dine-in lunch or dinner. Hearty meat dishes but vegetarian/vegan friendly with lots of entree options for the latter. Gluten free options available as well
After moving to Front Royal in August we have visited Blue Wing Frog numerous times. The owners are outgoing and wonderful to deal with along with their servers/kitchen staff. The food is great, as is the selection of brews and wine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is one that makes you not want to eat and leave. You want to stay and have another meal or something from their vast dessert offerings. Foods consist of American cuisine, including gluten-free and vegetarian options..
This is one of our "go to's" in town when we are looking for a meal. Highly recommended.

The endless creativity of Chef-Owners David and Stacy Gedney has produced an excellent bistro alternative to the commitment of fine dining restaurants and to the ennui of the countless chain restaurants. Element offers a variety of sapid dishes for lunch and dinner in a relaxed and modern atmosphere, augmented by a full bar, beers on draft and an elegant wine list. We adjust the menu regularly to keep our ingredients fresh and our choices interesting.
Large serving of fish with hand cut fresh fries and water. My boyfriend liked his meal, too. I was very thirsty, and the waiter attentively refilled my water and provided more lemon. Everyone in the restaurant was happy. If I ever pass through again, I will eat here!

We were there as part of a large group and that may have influenced both the service and the quality of the food. That said, it felt like we were in one of the cheap steakhouse chain restaurants. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable or causing me to want to come back and try it again either.

L Dee's is a solid diner experience for breakfast - Good pancakes, eggs cooked to order, wide range of protein options for sides. It's nothing fancy or innovative, but it gets the job done. The service is very good - the ladies that we encountered on our recent visit are pros. My only two complaints -- the biscuits and gravy were not good - biscuits were small and the sausage gravy was heavy on flour and light on sausage -- it was a gluey, pastey mess. The decaf coffee also was pretty awful -- tasting old and burnt. But I don't expect decaf to ever be good at a diner. The biscuits and gravy, however...

PaveMint officially opened June 2015. PaveMint is a "Farm to Street" Taphouse and Smokehouse featuring a gastropub menu focusing on fun, street foods using high-quality, local products from farms in the region. We are not fast food. Every menu item is made custom, in-house from scratch. We take great pride in the quality and creativity of our food and hope that you will taste and see that quality in every bite. Relax. Enjoy a fine, American, craft brew, take in the natural beauty of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, and let us serve you.
We were surprised to see such a cute and unique place in Front Royal. The fires lit outside were very inviting and cozy. The drinks were amazing, especially the cranberry margarita. Brooke and Jade kept us laughing all evening! We plan to make a trip back to the area and can't wait to stop back. This place should not be missed!!
