We found this place whilst out exploring. Wonderful food and impeccable service, good inventive menu - a flavour explosion. The bread and tapenade selection, followed by the carpaccio with Rhubarb compote and then steak with almonds and fries left us wanting no more. Well worth a try when visiting Terschelling!

Restaurant Op West is located inside the Westcord hotel Schylge in West Terschelling on the island of Terschelling. This restaurant sure is worth your visit for several reasons. The restaurant is stylishly furnished. The view of the harbour is superb. We enjoyed a three course dinner and must say that we enjoyed every bite of it. Even when you are not staying at this four star hotel, you should stop by and enjoy all that this restaurant has to offer. We would definitely go back and have dinner again at Op West.

We went to Flaman for lunch. we had 4 different dishes and all were good. Service was fine and the location, opposite the Brandaris is super. We sat outside in the sun which is also a bonus. The interior is very pretty, it is an old building with lots of charm.I think i'll go back and have dinner there some time.

Went to El Mundo last night. Was a great experience thanks to the food quality and the friendly and enthusiastic staff. The menu features some, not usual tapa's dishes (such as sate and rendang), which at first makes you wonder what to expect. They however exceed expectations with their food. Gamba piri-piri, sizzling beef and garlic mushrooms were some of the best we ever tasted. Also the off-menu options were wonderfully prepared and very tasty. So a big recommendation from us! Well done El Mundo and see you again...

Whilst staying on the island, we visited this small restaurant. We ordered the "wijn en spijs" with 4 courses (wine and food). Food was excellent; both quality and presentation exhibited high level cuisine style. Wines were carefully selected to accompany each course and definitely enhanced the experience. Food and wine were served in well balanced quantities - we are moderate eaters. Service was very friendly and personal in a stylish, yet low key setting. We definitely recommend this place and will be happy to visit again.

Coming to this restaurant was one of the best experiences we had during the Eastern weekend. We didn't ask for the tasting menu but we enjoyed all the dishes, especially the cockles, cod and rib-eye.Regarding the wines, I asked two glasses of different red wines and both were excellent but I realized that other tables eating different food were having the same wines.Despite this last point, this restaurant deserves a visit.

We did not know but the (vegan) food in this restaurant is excellent. The first course with beetroot and tofu was beautiful and delicious. The salads are for 4 people and very good and filling - but we ended up leaing half of our food on the plate. Generous quantities. Service attentive. Its good to reserve

Located in the former raadshuis (town hall), this restaurant has been stylishly decorated and is a nice place to relax after a day´s hike. the service was very friendly and decently fast. The food we ordered was very nice, we both really enjoyed the fish and the salad with smoked mackerel. Reasonably priced.
