We stayed here as part of a large group for one night. It is an older style of boutique hotel set in a lovely garden. The staff were very welcoming and although had little English we were able to make ourselves understood. The buffet dinner and breakfast were good. Internet a little slow. In all a nice place to stay in a good location.

Stayed for one night as part of tour with KE Adventure UK and local agent Wilderness Explorers. Having been travelling since 7.30 a.m. and arriving at this hotel 6 p.m. just wanted to eat, shower, and sleep BUT was told by guide this alleged hotel did not have a restaurant ! Asked receptionist about a snack bar which was just next door and so I ordered omelette and beer to take-away. After eating, started to unpack a few things and opened the wardrobe door to be hit by a strong smell and see SEVERE damp with mould on the walls. Very unhealthy. This was Room 108. The room was generally very drab and tatty 1960s and although a kettle was provided there was no milk for the tea. Breakfast in the Breakfast Room but limited choice for a vegetarian.

Halfway between the European Space center and Kourou, Atlantis is a comfortable hotel in the modern colours situated at the edge of the Devil lake. The beach and the city center are only 10 minutes by walk. Spatial center si situated unless 10 minutes by car. Very quiet environment.
On tour with KE Adventure UK and local agent Wilderness Explorers and stayed for one night. Having risen at 5.30 a.m. and been travelling all day, I did not want to hear from our guide when we arrived that the hotel did not have a restaurant as all I wanted to do was eat, shower, and sleep. Guide said a supermarket was 20 mins walk away! Receptionist offered to phone pizza shop, which did not open until 6 p.m. and did not deliver to hotel until 7.20 p.m. Hotel had a bar - puzzling! Room was functional. Breakfast in Breakfast Room but scrambled eggs look like egg tart.

Situated on the outskirts of Kourou on the edge of the Bois Diable lake on 4 acres of private grounds. The hotel Mercure Ariatel provides all the facilities of a business hotel in a leisure environment.
Since decades we travel a lot (we have been to more than 120 countries) and write also many hotel reviews (mostly very positive) and I cannot I remember when was the last time I gave a "one star" rating on tripadvisor. Well, this time I have no choice but to do so regarding our stay at the Mercure Kourou Ariatel: 1) when arriving at around 7.30 p.m. the reception was deserted and only after a while a girl decided to attend us 2) we were aware of the high price when reserving our room (over 300 Euro!) and expected something special, but after the attention-less person of the reception our hopes were diminishing; we had a feeling the girl did not want to share much information or was just not telling the truth about the room type, internet and the access route to the room. 3) the shock settled in, when we saw our room and its dirt - unbelievable for a hotel of the Mercure brand; the floor and the walls were dirty; there was a dead (and bloody) cock roach on the kitchen floor (see picture); the sink of the bathroom was full of hairs - disgusting 4) one plus point: the aircon was working 5) the internet was not working at all 6) there is a veranda, but no seats or a table to sit there - what a pity 7) checkout was slow, therefore we had time to look around the reception and could see at daylight how dirty it was too; the ceiling full of dust and spiderwebs 8) Breakfast was okay As a resume this hotel is worth maximum 80 Euro, but not outrageous 300 Euro. This is a ripoff. With such a dirty place and nothing is being done about it, the hotel manager should look for another job.

Close to Montabo Beach, a nesting ground for sea turtles, and 3 km away from the heart of Cayenne, the 4 stars Grand Hotel Montabo (ex-Novotel Cayenne) features a restaurant, a bar, meeting rooms and an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a tropical garden. Offering 102 air-conditioned bedrooms, the hotel is the perfect spot to visit to the Space Centre or the rivers of the Amazon. Also located 16 km away from the airport, the hotel is ideal for a family trip or holiday in French Guiana.
My favorite hotel! No more words needed!! Rates are acceptable, hospitality on point, rooms wonderful, pool always clean! Food not the best but eatable! I loved it If the person(s) stay there is someone of nature well you’ll love the beach view, and the turtle watch at nights

Just on overnight stay during October. The manager was soo helpful , evening meal delicious and pool a welcome chill area. In French Guyana you don't get indoor pools because it's warm enough outside. Views out to garden more favourable. Area around hotel is residential so is peaceful at night. A short drive from downtown Cayenne.

your hotel "La Marmotte" is in an ideal location: only 5 minutes from the airport, at the entrance of matoury, and 15 minutes away from Cayenne. 25 rooms and 5 appartments, quiet and cosy! Web corner, swimming pool, wifi access, parking, restaurant, open 7days a week and 24hours available !
The stay was very nice, the front desk staff were friendly, accommodating and Nicolas, the Director - very helpful and engaging. The hotel was a bit far from the centre of Cayenne, and by taxi, quite expensive, but I knew this beforehand. The restaurant was excellent. My room was fine. The price points were acceptable. The pool was on the small side, but nonetheless, it was a clean pool and very welcome after a long day of sight seeing. Aside from the hotel and property, when arriving by plane for example, from Belem at a very early hour, there were no taxis. This could have complicated things, but with perseverance and creativity, I did find a taxi driver who took me to the hotel. Taxis are very expensive in French Guyana. The very helpful hotel staff told me when going into Cayenne, if I wanted to avoid taking taxis, that I should exit their property and walk left along the highway for about 4 intersections (not big intersections) (less than 10 minutes walk) , and then just behind an identifiable City Hall, there was a bus stop where the bus went to the centre of Cayenne, where you could walk around - avoiding China town. It cost only 2 or 3 Euros each way. It is important to note - and as thankfully advised by the hotel staff, that if returning to the hotel by bus, to do so no later than 4, latest 5 in the afternoon. Why? Because the highway traffic gets heavier and as sunset approaches, the walk along certain segments could get tricky with oncoming traffic - (no grass, no gravel to walk on - only the highway itself). I took the bus both ways and had no problems. Just use common sense and intelligence. In all, a very enjoyable stay and the restaurant was excellent. Depending on the purpose of your trip, you might want to rent a car. For me, it didn't matter because I was on holiday. Thank you to all at La Marmotte.

Compared with the rest of Cayenne, this hotel was clean and fresh. A true sanctuary from the hot and humid moldy climate. I was there for 3 weeks on a business trip. I do not have anything negative to say. We started our days with a great buffet breakfast offering everything you can think of, including Dragon Fruit. The pools are refreshing and well taken care of. After a long day, I can always count on a good Sushi Dinner of high quality. Staff was always helpful and courteous.

Eclipse is a traditional creole villa which has been renovated in 2014 and transformed into an apartment hotel awarded 5 stars as "Meuble de Tourisme" in 2015. It presents 3 rooms and 6 suites that have been equipped with high standard and modern amenities. The studio-like suites offer a large autonomy thanks to the fully equipped kitchen and the private terrace.
I've spent many weeks at Eclipse being in Cayenne on business at the beginning of this year. I must say, this place is great. The staff is friendly and eager to please. They would serve a special breakfast just for me! The suites are quite large and have everything you need. I felt just like at home! The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood smack downtown. I had a car rental and this place does have safe parking but you can easily walk to anything downtown including many good restaurants. The only thing to know is that if you are planning on using their secured parking ($), rent a compact vehicle
