Welkom is also known as Circle City, City Within A Garden, Mvela and Matjhabeng. The city's Sesotho name, Matjhabeng means 'where nations meet', derived from the migrant labour system, where people of various countries such as Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique etc. met to work in the mines of the gold fields.

Very near to Welkom CBD... yet feels like you are way out in the country. We stayed over for 3 nights. Cannot express what a lovely venue this is for those with young families. Catering was great and the rooms were brilliant for the price. I will be back!

This buffet is full of delightful foods from South Africa. There is usually a nice curry dish as well as a good variety of other meats including grilled steak, pork and other items. There is a nice variety of salads and wonderful desserts. If you are a pensioner you get a special rate. A nice benefit of getting old!
