In the heart of Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg is a small city with a unique German flavor in its quaint bakeries, Hauptstrasse (Main Street) boutiques and generations-old peach orchards. Weekenders from nearby San Antonio and Austin have long appreciated the charm of the city's many B&Bs and "Sunday House" Inns. The surrounding Texas Hill Country is home to lush vineyards, making up one of the country's largest viticultural areas.

Breakfast is served all of the time! Best breakfast in Fredericksburg, TX. Set in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the Sunset Grill features inspired dishes using the freshest ingredients from local growers to create a memorable dining experience. When you experience our cuisine, attentive service and friendly atmosphere we believe we'll become one of your favorite places to dine. We invite you to come in and see what makes us one of the most popular restaurants in the Hill Country. Sunset Grill - A Classic American Bistro.
The Sunset Grill is off Fredericksburg's Main Street which is a tourist magnet, deservedly so. On a non-descript Tuesday my bride & I went with several TripAdvisor reviews took a chance. Suffice it to say, the TripAdvisor five star reviews were on the mark. While the Sunset Grill may not rate five stars in Los Angeles or Dallas, it certainly deserves the rating in Fredericksburg. The challenge is to make a selection from a fantastic menu, all of which come out of the kitchen to perfection. My lunch entrée was the Seafood Caesar Salad which was FANTASTIC, a crab cake, five grilled shrimp, tilapia, bacon, tomato, parmesan, very nice. (One has to remember, a Caesar salad from a authentic French restaurant and everywhere else is not the same). My bride's seafood tostada was also very nice,,, Prompt service, outdoor seating, a great value. A nice place for good friends who appreciate good food and romantic couples. The outdoor seating is very nice.

We absolutely loved our experience the Cabernet Grill restaurant! We loved eating outside on the patio, everything we ordered was excellent: appetizers, steak, desserts, wine options, etc! Our server, Joseph, was great!!! If you are in Fredericksburg- this is the best dinner service!!!

This place is set back off of main street so you have to look for it. It's very basic with picnic tables outside, but they have very good burgers, their tornado fries are quite tasty, and the price is good too.

We offer a wide variety of smoked meats, smoked sausages, deli sandwiches and salads Togo
This is a great specialty meat and food store which also serves up a very tasty lunch. My wife and I both ordered sandwiches, and both were great. Portions were large and you could order a combo with drinks and chips which we did and sat in a nearby park and enjoyed.

We ate at Alamo Springs Cafe yesterday. It is in Fredericksburg, but it's waayyy south of what most consider the actual town of Fredericksburg. This was my first trip there, and it did take much longer to drive than anticipated. The burger was really good, and the pecan pie with chocolate chips on top and coconut cake were very good. However, if you go on a weekend when the weather is pretty, be prepared to wait for your food. It took 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. The waitress was outstanding considering how crowded it was and how many tables she was waiting.

Vaudeville consists of two restaurants, a showroom floor as well as an art gallery. Vaudeville specializes in showcasing the finer things in life, the best of what the world has to offer as well as local gems. From the ground floor up Vaudeville hosts a French bistro style cafe (in the basement), a gourmet market, and a wine cellar stocked by an in-house sommelier. The cafe specializes in coffees and fine teas, as well as an assortment of fresh made French pastries, daily lunch specials, juices and desserts. The main floor is dedicated to showcasing luxury home furnishings, accessories, lighting, and special finds. The third and top floor holds the art gallery that showcases one-of-a-kind antiques, museum pieces, and art from local artists. The connected, freshly renovated courtyard and single story addition will is the location of the V Supper Club. A fine dining restaurant and special event venue backed by a brand new state-of-the-art commercial kitchen.
GET THE REUBEN. I spend the week in town looking for best Reuben sandwich. Hands down. It was at Vaudeville.
Split it with a friend. Very filling. Homemade chips are worth it. Nice little garden salad. Very unique dining experience. Ask to see the seclusive outside bar...you will think you are in Carmel, CA. Upscale place for sure.

A small Family owned restaurant offering fresh Pasta done right. We Look forward to serving "Happy You."
It's always the hole in the wall places that you find the best food! And this certainly is awesome food, coming from such a small town. We came in and the restaurant was already busy, they told us it would be a few minutes... but seeing as how the couple behind us said, "It's worth the wait," we did... and glad we did! Our waiter was a young man, that kept on top of everything even with the busy weekend crowd and quite hilarious! He started us off with some warm bread and oil for dipping; he gave us a few wine selections to choose from. We both ordered the alfredo pasta and it was absolutely surpurb! Unfortunately, being as we filled up too much on bread and pasta we didn't have room for the delicious looking desserts but will definitely be getting one next time we come in! Everyone was very friendly and accomodating; and the food excellent! Can't wait to make our way up to Fredericksburg again to stop in! Highly reccommend on to others!

Had Sunday brunch at Ottos this past weekend. The food was good, nothing outstanding. Wasn't terribly impressed by the menu. Girlfriend had the Otto burger and I had the "German pizza". Mine was not good, but that's because I was expecting something a bit less "bleu-cheesy". Her burger was good even though she isn't a big fan of fried eggs. The drinks were good. I am saying "good" a lot because nothing was outstanding, nor was it offensive. However, given the price, I expected more.

I love to return to this charming restaurant. They've published about three cookbooks and mix up their menu with different recipes from time to time. The new items today went over well... fried green tomato BLT and salted caramel ice cream pie. Other sandwiches, soups, and salads are delicious as well. They're especially known for their large homemade cookies! Make reservations if it's a holiday or spring break time of year.

The brisket was moist and tender. I prefer a stronger smoked flavor on my bar b q but overall the meat was delicious. We ordered some lean brisket as well and it was tender and flavorful. The pork was cooked perfectly but could have used more flavor. There are choices of 2 sauces both of which were pretty good.
The sides are served buffet, all you can eat style. The beans were well seasoned and had a good flavor. The cole slaw and potato salad were average and not memorable. Other sides available were corn and green beans which we did not try.
The servers (one of which was the new owner) were very friendly and helpful.
Great lunch and we left stuffed!
