Located in the original homestead that was built on Devil's Thumb Ranch in the 1930s. We like to think that when those early pioneers picked the spot for their home, it was chosen for its magnificent views – elk and moose wander by, horses enjoy their meals in the meadow and a blanket of stars light the night in a way you can only see in a place like this. We also like to think that those early Ranchers knew a thing or two about eating well. And we carry on the tradition with style at Ranch House Restaurant. We serve New American Mountain Cuisine here – which means real food, cooked with real ingredients, including Wagyu beef from our own Ranch-raised herd. All natural and locally grown whenever we can. Always fresh, always delicious.
Very nice food and wine list. We had poached oysters (good but too creamy for me), roasted carrot soup (amazing flavours but not for everyone), elk tenderloin (perfectly seasoned and cooked, but not local - flown in from farms in New Zealand), and flourless chocolate cake (tasted great). Service is excellent and professional.

We stopped by Sharky's on the way to Winter Park skiing. We ended up having a sit down breakfast, but they also have breakfast burritos and sandwiches if you call ahead. The pancakes and breakfast sandwich were all very good. I would definitely go back to Sharky's again! Thanks Sharky's for a great breakfast to get us through most of the skiing day.

If you like fish tacos, Pepe Osaka’s won’t disappoint. My husband and I shared a plate of 3 traditional fish tacos and we were barely able to finish it all. My girls got the teriyaki chicken tacos and they were delicious too. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were top notch. For some extra kicks, the grownups can try one of their many signature margaritas. I highly recommend the jalapeño version - perfect mix of smoky and sweet.

In the tradition of casual Italian street caffes, we offer a little something for everyone. Join us for hand-crafted cappuccinos and pastries to start the day, or fresh carved sandwiches for lunch, or small plates, charcuterie and wine for watching the sun set. Carryout available. Caffe Giocondo is a warm and welcoming spot for community, travelers and friends to gather and enjoy the day.
We enjoyed breakfast after staying at the hotel above the cafe. If you stay in the hotel you get a $10 breakfast credit/ person. We each had a gourmet coffee or tea and a large portioned breakfast. We really loved the bacon and egg stromboli. The cafe also has very spacious, clean bathrooms. Candace & Nicole are great baristas.

When you order from Elevation Pizza you will "Take Your Pie To a New High"! Not only are we a high altitude pizzeria, but we use the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients, and will treat you with the highest level of customer service!
We called ahead to see if we could make reservations or how long a wait for a table. We knew being a Friday night, it was probably busy & there'd be a wait. They didn't take reservations & couldn't tell me how long table wait...MoreChristina, So right-we are a counter service restaurant with limited seating. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the pizza! Thanks for the review.

My husband and I love crispy chili rellenos (not the traditional soggy ones) and the Azteca had these. Very good! I wish more restaurants would have these. The chips were good, but the Cole slaw that came with them was too spicy for me. They had a $3.50 house margarita for happy hour (until 5:30) and those were good. Very nice waiter. Good service.

Heck’s offers an exceptional taste of inventive ranch fare, from crafty cocktails and hand-selected wines from our private cellar, to crave-worthy dishes eloquently inspired by fresh, on-ranch produce and livestock.
We stay at Devil's Thumb every year for a friends/family gathering. We always give Heck's several visits. The food and the service are pretty average. The vegetarian choices are limited and the dishes lack imagination. We would love to see more creative dishes for all 3 meals- Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lovely atmosphere makes up for the quite boring food and mediocre service

We were starving so pizza, breadsticks and salad really hit the spot. That being said, it wasnt great pizza. It is affordable for a ski town restaurant.Heather, we're known for our pizza, so I'm disappointed it didn't impress you more. It's possible we were just having an off night, so I hope you'll give it another chance in the future. We look forward to seeing you again! Sincerely, Jeff Davidson, Owner
