The village of Franschhoek (French Corner), tucked into the Cape Winelands of South Africa, is known as the country's food and wine capital. Galleries and antique shops fill the tree-lined streets, and vineyards established more than 300 years ago cascade over the hills just outside town. Local activities range from wine-tasting tours to trout fishing and hiking. The Huguenot Memorial Museum honors the town's early settlers, who fled religious persecution in France.

Thank you for a super special stay, La Fontaine. Kim was an absolute pleasure when making the reservation and hosting us for a celebratory night away from home. Cecilia welcomed us at the car and was always around with a bright smile and accommodating manner. Every details was thought of in the rooms. When we returned to our room after dinner in town, our fire place was lit and room was lovely and cozy. Great linen and in- room amenities. Friendly staff all around. Breakfast the next morning was a beautiful continental buffet and my selection of hot breakfast, Blue Cheese Tartine, is something to return for. Thank you Chef Ashley. I can highly recommend this amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Franschhoek.

Overall I would rate this guest house highly. The location to town was great, the staff were very attentive and eager to please. My request for laundry to be done was accommodated in a very timely manner.Breakfast was excellent with good choices. Room was a nice size; bed was fairly comfortable but the pillows could be improved and the shower pressure wasn’t great. We would definitely stay here again if in Franschhoek.

The assistance with recommending and booking our dinner restaurants meant we always felt safe, well looked after, enjoyed our meal times and were spoilt all around. Beautiful Cape style accommodation located in a stunning vineyard close to the tranquil town of Franschhoek. Great restaurant and spa complete the package for a relaxing stay.
After the most wonderful welcome ever (fresh iced towels, comfortable sofa and a chilled glass of the estate wine), the mood was set for a glorious stay at Holden Manz. It delivered beyond our imagination in every single aspect. We stayed in the River Suite - a beautifully appointed space with thoughtfulness at every turn (complimentary wine, a basket with pool side towels, turn-down service at night with the forecast and a chocolate ...and views to die for over the vineyard to the mountains beyond). The breakfast was literally heavenly and served each morning at different tables dotted in and around the house. The feel is relaxed, yet effortlessly styled, and just so beautifully kept everywhere. The owners' passions for wine and art are abundantly evident; the gardens and outdoor pool area are so tranquil, the staff seem genuinely delighted to ensure your stay is truly memorable. A visit to the vineyard for a tasting is a must too! We would heartily recommend Holden Manz and will, most definitely, go back again one day.

Macaron is conveniently located within Franschhoek, we walked everywhere and took Uber's to some wine estates. Breakfast was provided daily with a nice buffet table and cooked to order breakfasts. We stayed in the suite as it was available and it was so big and so nice. It had a fireplace and large bathroom. Staff was very nice, it was very clean and felt secure.

We stayed for 4 nights while celebrating our 10th anniversary. We were very happy with our stay. Gerald and particularly Candice were excellent hosts and were very attentive to our needs. My wife is both lactose and gluten intolerant, which we let them know beforehand, they supplied us with lactose free milk and yoghurt and gluten free bread and muffins with our breakfast. Candice was also very helpful recommending places to eat and visit and just generally attentive to our every need. the kitchen and cleaning staff were equally attentive making scrumptious breakfasts for us (I recommend the eggs benedict). even when they were quite busy everyone got a hot delicious meal quickly. The tech is a highlight we enjoyed the automation so much we are looking to get it in our own home and the theatre was amazing. We also spent a lot of time in the jacuzzi which was always at a pleasantly warm temperature, The only drawback was that we rented the room with a fireplace but when we tried to light a fire the room got smoked out. Gerald and Canice did assure us they would get it seen to

We have visited before but this is the first time we stayed in the Grande Provence Estate. Amazing estate, food and people. The wine tasting was so lovely, service very good. Room view was a little disappointing but we loved the balcony. We will be back!
