We spent a super lunchtime with an old French friend in this busy place au bord du Canal du Midi. It was great to be seated outside at the water's edge. The welcome was as warm as the weather. The service was excellent, the food and wine well presented and delicious. We had the set meal, very good value - eggs mimosa/crudités for starters, tuna niceoise - a good serving of pan-fried tuna with vegetables for mains and peach melba for puds. We washed it down with an excellent rose 'L'Abbaye de la Silva Plana. We loved it. And we were told that they operate on a 365/365 day basis. Pre-booking is important.

The restaurant stretches length-wise like the bow of a boat, the refined decoration fading to highlight the magnificent panoramic view offered through the facility's large windows. The 9 Locks Fonsereanes sitehas had a restaurant since June 2017. With its
We, along with 60-70 other boaters were stuck at the top of the 9 locks in Beziers due to the lock keepers strike. We made enquiries with the restaurant and were told they would be open on the evening.....they didn't bother opening!!!They don't deserve business with service like this.Luckily we found a restaurant called Le Manteau Bleu 5 minutes walk away, see my review.

Having previously visited O Bontemps in Magalas on several occasions, we were interested to see what the new brassiere in Beziers would be like. It did not disappoint - the food was beautifully presented and tasted lovely. There was one starter: a fish soup and a choice of three mains: two different cuts of beef and fish - cod, although earlier it had been tuna. The menu changes daily and is posted on Facebook. The new setting is the médiathèque by the university, giving the place a light, modern, airy feel to it. The chief Oliver Bontemps was as welcoming as at his previous location taking time to chat to diners.. The restaurant is open during the day and combines a lunchtime menu and coffee/tea/cakes menu for the morning and afternoon. From today's menu it did not look like the place to take vegetarian friends, but other wise it is highly recommended and a must visit when in Beziers. Booking already seems to be essential - we arrived at 12.30 on a Tuesday and it was full (just six weeks after it had opened), but we able to get a table for 1.30pm that day.

Notre restaurant est lieu de vie, simple, convivial. Ma cuisine : c'est de la bistronomie, cuisine simple de terroir, produits de qualité et de région. un service simple, efficace et avec le sourire. Menus à prix doux !
A wonderful delight. Almost no French from me, but a dinner of wonders. The menu is called âsurpriseâ. Yes, it was. To begin, an amuse bouche of carrot and ginger mousse. Starter of floating rice cake in floral milk. Main course of veal and potatoes and onion. Then comes the three fromages with saint nectaire, tomme, and rocamadou (?). Desert was an aubergine light chiffon cake with coffee ice cream, caramel sauce and blackberries. Wine a delicious Minervois Domaine Plo Notre Dame 2015. Oh, and the fun part. You get to drive to the mountaintop of Old Béziers. You will appreciate the humor after the fact. During, not so much!!Dear Customer,Thank you for sharing your opinion on TripAdvisor.I thought of the cuisine of my restaurant as a simple and generous but modern cuisine, based on carefully selected products. The cuisine reflects our love of the good. Our desire is to give pleasure to our customers, it is a joy to read that you appreciated the setting, the service as well as our commitment in cooking.I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Maison de Petit Pierre.Best regards,Pierre Augé

Having recently bought a house in the area, this could have become a regular. Unfortunately the owner was rude and the food overpriced. My son was served raw chicken - no apology offered. My husband had oysters and was ill for days.Thank you for your comment. I am very sorry for this bad experience, this is not in our habits. My husband, the usual chef, had a serious health problem, and we had to hire a new chef who is no longer part of our restaurant following your passage. I would be very pleased to see you again, and to apologize to invite you for a lunch. Thank you for your comprehension.

I was most impressed by the creative, delicious meal. It was pleasing to both the eye and the palate. While the staff were pleasant and attentive, it was a shame that our waitress had not been better instructed about the dishes on offer.A delightful restaurant. Highly recommended.

When I looked up booking.com the photos completely sold me the hotel. It looked like a little gem. As we were coming to the end of our holiday we wanted something special. In addition we upgraded our bedroom. But the hotel was anything but special ! When we arrived there was no parking at the hotel. Fortunately we were saved by a public car park 300 metres away. We walked into a rather gloomy reception to be greeted by no one. Eventually the stressed owner appeared. The bedroom couldnât have been more of a disappointment It was the opposite to what we were expecting Old and tired with a linoleum floor and a huffing, puffing, struggling, clanking air conditioner which is in desperate need of replacement. It was however clean. The small crowded swimming pool was a major disappointment and once again bore little resemblance to the online photo. The food was the only positive part of the whole experience. We felt cheated and deceived and will not be returning there.
