Driving from Nice to Leucate and happened to stop here for lunch. Freshly made crepes and friendly service. What more could one ask for!

Traditional restaurant with fresh and local products such as bull AOP Camargue, camargue rice, Mediterranean fish, seasonal vegetables, tellines, eels Possibility to adapt your meal according to your diet (without gluten, vegetarian or other)
We have been here three times for dinner. We really loved the place and the food.We have tried several dishes, the "taureau", the bull meat famous in the Camargue, such deep flavor's and so tender, calamari so fresh and crunchy. So the quality of all the dishes was absolutely superb and tasty. The staff extremely friendly and the ambiance very cozy.

We were staying for one night in St Gilles and found this cafe by accident. We were the only people there initially, and the owner served us - really attentive and helpful with choice of food and wine. Local produce and home-coked - they have their own pizza oven so you know it's freshly baked

We spent quite a bit of time in St. Gilles over the past few months, and Le Royal Kebab is our favorite place to eat. The kebabs are delicious. You can have one, with or without fries, in a gallette, sort of the French equivalent of a kebab burrito. At any rate, the food is fresh, delicious, and made to order with a smile. The best part of any meal is the baklava. It's not too sweet, the dough is crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. There are just the right amount of nuts, and it's baked to perfection every day by the owner. He makes it from scratch, and boy is it worth waiting for each evening! I've been to Turkey and Morocco, and NOBODY has made baclava this good. It's simple ingredients, but when each is of the highest quality and mixed in perfect proportion the results are outstanding.

Again, I check out trip advisor before picking this restaurant and we were not disappointed! Huge choice on the menu, something to suit everyone, food nicely cooked and well presented. Serving staff are excellent, friendly and laidback, plenty of time to choose from the menu. Lovely location right on the riverside.

While staying at the quaint hotel, we just had to try the lovely outdoor seating area under the shade of gnarly trees, and we were not disappointed: great value (we picked 3 courses for 20â¬), huge portions, and everything was really tasty. Two generous orders of the paté (yum!) and a nice Chèvre chaud salad, and I had the melt-in-your-mouth beef stew and a fruit tarte for dessert. Recommended, both for food, value, atmosphere and friendly service!
