During our short stay we had two very good meals: an excellent breakfast buffet which included delicious homemade jams, and the dinner was delicious. The chèvre salad was good; our party had chicken steak and cassoulet for mains, everyone happy, a generous selection of cheese, and the iles flottantes were the perfect light finish to a good dinner. Simple - nothing complicated; all good. Nice cooking, kind and helpful service.

en plus de l accueil ,le service est très long .sinon pour une formule à 15 â¬10 on mange correctement (entrée ,plat, fromage ou dessert et café )il n y a pas beaucoup de choix dans la formule mais c est bon

Our friends went here for dinner and raved about the frog legs. We decided to go for lunch as they were advertising moules and frites. It was a hot day, so we ate inside vice the umbrella tables on the street. Service was attentive. The atmosphere was average. The moules were wonderful, the frites were good. We both ordered a bucket for @ 9.50 euros and it was too much for either of us to eat. The broth was lite and fresh tasting, the moules cooked just right. With a bottle of wine, lunch was @ $39. We would definitely return.

Best restaurant in Clamecy, different, unusual but very well designed and at an unbelievable low price. 3-course meal with a bottle of very nice rosé and coffee for less than â¬35 pp.. Wonderful adaptations regarding my partners tery difficult diet limitations. Very friendly and professional service (thank you Brian), And .....very clean toilets Nice location, hidden in a backroad in the mediaeval center of Clamecy.Excellent all round, Michelin star quality!!It's worth a detour.Returning from our holiday in Spain we drove an extra 200 km just to be able to have dinner here again, and we were not disappointed!A place to remember and return!

On the canal and this was recommended.From morsels at the beginning to end this was fantastic. Gazpacho was just sensational. Service was excellent and helpful and setting sun next to church was great.

This was fine dining! We chose the four course set menu which was great value. The courses all had creative flair in flavour combinations and presentation. Sometimes the dish was even unusually surprising. The wait staff were attentive and the restaurant had an atmosphere of refinement. With four courses plus wine we paid 38 euros each. The hotel/ restaurant is only a short walk from the port if, like us, you are in a canal trip.
