Looks like a beach bar, just shows how deceptive appearances can be. Welcoming staff and friendly service. A gem on the beach, literally. Good varied menu with the emphasis on seafood, naturally. However i sampled probably the biggest entrecote steak I've ever seen, barely fitting onto the plate. Superbly cooked. Food reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

Don't be put off by the slightly run-down look of this seafront restaurant. The welcome, the food and the service are all excellent. We had the duck in Banyul sauce and cod a l'aioli and both dishes were faultless. The tapas plate for 11 euros looked enormous and we will try it next time we go there. A litre pichet of decent quality wine for about 10 euros was great as well! Overall, a lovely little restaurant in a pretty location on the seafront and well worth a visit.

Just a step away from the port and the Place de la République, La Cuisine des Filles is waiting for you to enjoy home-cooked food. Fish from the fish market of Barcarès, crustaceans and beautiful pieces of meat are prepared to the planxa or accommodated i
We stopped for a quick lunch and were delighted with the speed of service. The menu is totally in French but we worked out the basics and the food arrived quickly and tasted great.

Wonderfull place on border of the beach with sunbed and palm trees Meal prepared only with fresh and local food for lunch or dinner Quiet place with perfect view on the see perfect for families or friends good times Near the famous boat the Lydia Proximit
This place is kept a secret by its fans! It's a luxury beach base with great sun beds, a fantastic restaurant, clean loos, shade, a bar and the rest. What's more there's a huge car park out the back, a beached ocean liner, The Lydia, to impress the kids and a sandy beach that goes way out. It's really all you need once you've had enough of the crowds at Canet Plage. It looks like any other beach bar but DTC Beach is something else. Give it a whirl! Thanks for this fabulous comment jim hope To see you again

This is an upmarket beach bar serving high quality fish and other food. Unfortunately it is situated within an area of depressing concrete high rises overlooking miles of beach. You cannot drive past but there is plenty of parking behind the high rises and then you will have to find your way to the beach promenade. The landmark to look for is a large ship set into the promenade itself - bizarre! There are tables on an upper floor overlooking the sea and downstairs. I got the impression that all the upper tables had been booked by local residents so remember this if you telephone to reserve a table. The cooking is simple French at its best and in particular the Calamars Plancha are fantastic and some of the best I had tried. Meli Melo (platter of oysters and prawns served on ice) was also most impressive. Staff are friendly and helpful with the bill for lunch, including wine and coffee, coming to â¬47. Worth a detour to eat and of course you can also spend your day on the beach.
