Visited this bar with a friend one Friday night. I live nearby but had never been. Itâs great! Good atmosphere great welcome and reasonably priced drinks. Going back to try the Plancha next week!

We went for the first time with friends who had been before. Had the mixed plate of smoked fish. Beautifully served on a slate platter with pearls of lemon and black pepper with warm brown toast. Delicious. Very pleasant and friendly host. Great to visit as a twosome or with friends, as some nice large high tables. Excellent Muscadet too and good price per glass or bottle. Good value as an entree/aperitif for two.Thank you very much. That was a great pleasure to welcome you. Best regards.

We visited for lunch and were attracted by the superb position on the point above the sea with 180 degree views of the bay. It was a sunny, breezy day but the outdoor terrace was relatively sheltered from the wind, had we preferred to eat outside. There is a dining room and a large covered terrace with windows all round where we had a table. It is obviously popular and has regular clients. The menu is simple: a couple of starters, mussels with a choice of 4-5 sauces, steak with a similar range of sauces, a fish of the day. We had a very generous bowl of moules mariniere with good chips and skate wing with accompanying vegetables, both of which were perfectly cooked and delicious. The desserts are Tarte Tatin or ice cream based and there is a childrenâs menu offering ham and chips. Friendly service, house wines and good coffee. There are plenty of fish restaurants in Audierne but Le Grand Large has the most spectacular views.
Cuisine excellente et raffinée ! Tout est fait avec des produits frais et maison. Un vrai régal ! Un plaisir des yeux et du palet !

I should admit that these were the best out of my three oysters experiences in Bretagne. I do not even mention the overall high-level quality of service in the restaurant which was definitely high-level and which was absolutely unexpected taking into account that the place itself is pretty distances from the cities or attractions and it takes you more than 1 hour to drive to this place from the big city like Quimper. But it definitely appeared to be worth it. And this is the place I would love to come back again. For the magnificent sunset just behind the sea-sky-line? For the fresh sea-air? For the beautiful senery and pictures around? Yes, yes, of course, but mostly for the crazingly tasty oysters!!! ))))

An excellent restaurant, my wife had the Langoustines to start which were beyond compare. The Scallops and Monkfish are also highly recommended.Wine selection was very good as were service and the views. No English version of the menu which was another plus!
