The panoramic Restaurant of the Villa Andry rears its sumptuous façade facing the sea and the beach at Ouistreham. In some of the rooms and restaurant you will attend the show without constantly-renewed sea and its play of light. Each sunset over the beac
This restaurant is furnished in a delightfully quirky fashion. The place is very convenient for the beach, has it's own parking and is very near to the Port for ferry crossings. My wife and I had booked for 8 pm for a Tuesday evening meal. We arrived and were seated by the very friendly staff. And then we were left for nearly 15 minutes before anyone thought to ask if we would like an aperitif. That is not good. Thereafter everything ran smoothly. My wife had 6 oysters followed by guinea fowl stuffed with mushrooms. She said the oysters were most excellent and the poultry beautifully cooked. I started with a "pacific fusion" style starter with seared tuna rolled in parsley and served with a soy jelly and carpaccio of aubergine. Lovely. I also tried the guinea fowl. It really was most excellent. Because of the delay when we first arrived we did not have time for a dessert. For wine I had a glass of voigner (white) and half a bottle of the red 2014 Cadillac. Highly recommended.Would we go again? Most certainly but please pick up on the service. People really do like to be asked what they would like for an aperitif as soon as they have sat down.

We had a weekend in Normandy staying in Ouistreham, rang them from the UK to book with my dreadful French!! A really nice place, very friendly helpful waitress. Good fish and seafood. They have some nice menu choices. Reasonably priced.Had the home smoked Camembert - excellent. Recommended.

A really first class restaurant situated only a few minutes walk away from the hotel where we were staying. There is no doubt this is an excellent restaurant, the standard of the food supplied was very good, maybe the main course could have been served a little hotter. All in all a very nice meal, with excellent service. Most of the waiters we met spoke a good standard of English. On the down side I think the price charged for a set meal and the cheapest bottle of wine on the wine list was priced at 28 Euro would probably restrict us using this restaurant again. We did enjoy our meal, this restaurant is open on a Sunday evening.

Located in Courseulles-sur-Mer, Le Mattélie welcome you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. With us no "fuss" as natural. Our key word "The home made" fresh and seasons that Chief cooks with love and passion. Fine wines to accompany his dishes and everythi
We ate here as a family after researching restaurants in the town. We had the set menu (â¬25 i think) which was decent value given the exchange rate post Brexit. The food was nicely presented and tasty. My only moan would be the small size of the portions, which were a little small. The service was excellent and friendly. Many restaurants make most of their money from the booze, which was the case here. You do feel like you are being milked when they charge â¬20 for a wine you could get for â¬5 in the supermarket - there really is no need for a 400% mark up.Hello Mr Steve2826,Thank you for your comment, delighted that you enjoyed it, we struggle to find good products and this is also true for wine, and I can assure you that the Mercurey you had taken, you will not find it in supermarket to 5 â¬. That's guaranteed.Thank you for your visit and see you soon.

This restaurant is amazing! The food and wine are of the highest quality. My wife and I had the Convivial set menu at 50 euro and the house wine. Wow!! We both agreed that it was the best meal we had eaten in France. We found that all the locals use this place and it was full on a Monday lunch when we visited. I would reserve in advance to be sure of getting a table.
