Good atmosphere in this restaurant run by an Olympic boxer who cooks the most fabulous steaks of every size and thickness you can imagine. Great starters and puddings and good wine served by cheerful staff. If you dream of a good steak turn your dream into reality and visit Jo Gonzalez

This restaurant offers compact but quiet, side street charm alongside an antique salon interior complete with roaring fire at the back. Being late July, the restaurant wasn't packed as the main tourist season had yet to kick off, and although we made a reservation on a warm Friday evening, people did come in off the street to secure a table. The menu isn't huge - no need to be - and we settled for the selection of tapas-style toasts, including a slab of foil gras, and bbq'd seiches/cuttlefish, both with a healthy salad. The cuttlefish were soft and sea-tasty, with a dollop of rouille to anoint. Mains on offer included huge steaks, salmon, swordfish or, as we opted for, Dourade/sea bream. Served with a fish-stock/creme reduction poured over dill-flavoured rice, the fish was fresh cooked perfectly and washed down with a good bottle or two of rose, of which there are 10 or so to choose from. All wines appeared to be good value. A tarte tatin washed down by an excellent calvados (on the house - merci!) completed an enjoyable evening. You can easily eat a 3 course dinner, with wine here for â¬35-40 a head. Excellent value and will return before the holiday is out.Much of the antique furniture inside is offered for sale and a small portmanteau was duly wheeled out to a buyer while we finished off dinner.

We were in town for a single night. Lonely planet recommends the cafeteria at the sports complex, but when we asked the hotel clerk, he recommended this place, within easy walking distance from the hotel, and canal de la Robine. There are many options, but the meat was cooked before our eyes on a large wood fired oven in the middle of the restaurant. He food was excellent, and the servers very attentive. The prices were reasonable. This restaurant would be worth a return visit.

Close to the historic center, nestled in a semi pedestrian street, lies the restaurant "small courtyard" as the name suggests, a small flowered and shaded courtyard waiting for you to spend a pleasant time, but beware !!! It has only 16 seats. The restaur
Picked here from other reviews from TripAdvisor and we were lucky we did. Great meal served to us in the courtyard. Service relaxed. Cooking simple but tasty. Only little point of distress is the potato served for the children. Slightly strange looking for them but very tasty. Recommend to all parties please spend the extra time looking for this restaurant and your efforts will be rewarded.

We are a vintage Citroen HY food truck set up for the summer in our own lovely garden .
A large group of us enjoyed the Indian BBQ which Jean Marie hosts a few times during the summer season, plenty of flavours and array of meat, seafood, salads to please everyone. Jean Marie and Ariane provide a beautiful setting in which to enjoy their delicious food.A bonus that night was the perfect spot to enjoy the fantastic firework display at the end of the evening.Would highly recommend this restaurant, open every evening at the moment serving Mediterranean/fusion food which changes on a weekly basis.
