On Friday, February 1st, the staff of Le Nez outdid themselves for their truffle evening. A six course meal with truffles or as was statedâtuber melanosporum! What an evening! Great ambiance; friendly folks.

I came here with a group from Avignon Wine tours. The food ended up being terrific, the service was nicely paced and it was very pleasant to sit outside. Price wise the lunch menu with 3 courses was under 20euros. Good place, good experience, would definitely return.

We had a wonderful relaxed afternoon at this chilled restaurant. The waiter was very helpful and spoke excellent English (which is very rare in town). Baked cheese salad to start was exquisite, followed by a Thai king prawn rice noodle salad (outstanding) & a vibrant tomato and serrano ham salad (carefully put together). The desserts were also remarkable; a chocolate mousse topping a creme caramel with a malty ice cream, and a trio of desserts with espresso. This is the kind of place where you can while away an afternoon - the house wines were the best we had in Vaison (only £12 to take a bottle away), the music is great, and the service was attentive and friendly.

The charcuterie platter is to die for, the beer, wine and cocktails great, the value excellent and the music consistently good (except for one Michael Jackson track). Lovely host and so relaxed and relaxing. If you want something with a bit of charm and character, spend a slow evening here.
