What a delightful little restaurant ! Conveniently located on the banks of the Loire river, the food is simply exquisite (I recommend the "planche" menu). Winding down over a glass of Savennieres while baking in the glorious evening sun was a wonderful experience. The town itself is worth a visit as is a walk along the banks.Make sure you book in advance !thank you to you for your review . We are happy that you got a pleasant time .cordially

Don't come here if you want a 'side of lettuce' or English spoken. We eat here because we couldn't get in to the Brasserie that had been recommended by our landlady in the chambre d'hôte and, I'm very happy to say, were not at all disappointed. In a quiet spot behind the Town Hall with quite a limited menu and a welcoming terrace, this is a good old school restaurant. The emphasis definitely on what is on the plate, the quality of ingredients and visual attractiveness. the wine list was mostly local, as you might expect in this region, with a few other reds from burgundy and bordeaux. Everything proper and correct, but it rather lacked atmosphere.

After a day's cycle along the Loire and staying at a rather idiosyncratic chambre d'hotes not too far away, we plumped for a family dinner at La Guinguette. Lovely location next to the river and by a little harbour; a children's park in the camping field behind the fence opposite, and a delicious supper with a decent bottle of something as the sun went down ⦠All in all, the end to a lovely day.

à la base je commandais toujours ailleurs. Mais ma pizzeria habituelle étant fermée, j'ai commandé chez Pasta Pizza. Je précise que je ne donne donmon avis que sur les pizzas car je n'ai pas commandé de sandwich, tacos, entrées, pâtes et autres burgers. J'ai commandé un savoyarde et une raclette. Les ingrédients sont bien dosés, le goût est là , la cuisson est maîtrisée et rien à dire sur la pâte à pizza qui est juste divine. Parole d'un ex-boulanger pâtissier! Le petit plus! Les pizzas sont cuites au feux de bois! On peu consommer sur place, choix assez correct en ce qui concerne les boissons (cannette ou bouteille). Le patron et son personnel sont vraiment accueillant et souriant. C'est décidé! Je commanderai dans cette pizzeria à l'avenir.

I had several exceptional meals here during a week-long stay in Champtoce-sur-Loire. There aren't many restaurants in this small town, so it's lucky that one of the few is top notch. The steaks and the seafood are equally well prepared. One steak I tried was grilled in the restaurant's centuries-old fireplace--incredible! Beyond excellent food, the owners are friendly, funny and always welcoming. We will be back!
