My Chinese girlfriend had heard of this place on the other side of town from her Chinese friends and all recommended it. A quick check online showed only a few results, but all similarly enthusiastic. And I'm glad to say the place lived up to the hype! The only bad point was the length of the service that night, but to be fair, the restaurant were just back from their summer holiday the day before we arrived. And clearly they had been missed : the single lady serving us was completely swamped with take-away orders, which I guess explain why the service got so slow despite the place only having a few people sitting down that evening.I think one reason the place has so many take away orders and few people sitting down is the location, which makes it very difficult to find a parking spot. An unfortunate thing, but on the plus side, it makes the place enjoyably quiet. A few tables were inside a sort of alcove, adding to the discretion of the place. Very nice.Anyway, even so, we were both impressed with the quality of the food : tasty, original (for me), with a real effort on presentation (my rice was served within a hollowed out pineapple!) and not too much sacrifices made for European palates (Sichuan food is extremely spicy, so they usually tone it down for us). We literally waited longer than it took us to eat, but it was worth every minute. And how often can you say that, nowadays? We will definitely be going back!

nice start was fine service and free shrimp chips.shu mai were fresh and delish. true dim sum.went downhill with 3 dishes that all came sub par and not truly even tasting as if a chinese chef prepared the food. somewhat bland, canned mushrooms used, large chunks of uncooked onion in 2 dishes. priced very fairly, though. server saw our displeasure and tried to remedy the flaws, but didn't work out. we did see many people order a dessert that flamed,so must be yummy. saw it a 3 or 4 different tables. something for next time?
