Stopped for lunch on the way to an early afternoon flight from Bergerac and had what can only be described as a perfect lunch. The Antipasti and The Insalata Italiana were both generous and extremely tasty, the house wine perfectly drinkable and the bill surprisingly reasonable. Add to this fast, efficient and friendly service and you can see why this will be a regular stop in the future.

Good selection of pizza ingredients. Pizza bases are always thin and well cooked. We have been going there for at least five years and probably pick up a takeaway about once month or so. The only downside is that you do need to order in advance (generally about 30 minutes but can be up to 60 minutes. However they do try and accommodate you if you are in a hurry. Favourite pizza topping is a Pizza Saint Jaques with vegetarian pizza running a close second. Price is about 8 - 10 euros. Unless you are very hungry one pizza between two is probably sufficient.

If the weather's with you, eat au terrace where you can sit under the shade looking out onto the lovely verdant garden. If not, don't worry, there is ample inside dining space. Ring ahead to book during the hot season to be sure of a table. Carolinne and Florence work together in perfect symbiosis as chef and front of house in their well thought out renovated home on the hill in Cadouin. Their philosophy is to welcome guests into their home as they would friends, offering them tasty, good quality, home-cooked food produced by people they know and trust in the local area. They work in harmony with nature with what is in season to produce delicious, succulent dishes with hints of the far east and other unusual twists. Don't venture here if you like your food laden with cream or gravy as the cooking here is fresh, light and modern. The wine list is small but interesting and perfectly complements the menu. Les Terraces is open every day for lunch and evening meals all year round so does not rely solely on the tourist trade. It's not in the centre of town but only a minute's drive up the hill overlooking the abbey and definitely worth seeking out if you're looking for something a little less predictable than the usual in-town tourist restaurants that only open up for the season.

They were only cooking pizza on a wet Sunday lunchtime. Sat inside and received friendly service. House wine was fine. Pizzas were ok but nothing special. Enjoyed our meal and would go again. Tables rather close together so much shuffling when each party arrived.
