Things to do in Fouras
Stopped for lunch as it was a lot less busy than the neighbouring restaurant. Small menu, but perfectly cooked (sweet and soft) mussels. My husband had the crevette. Both of us had the frites. We cleared the lot along with a lovely rose.

Seafood and local produce. Fish, vegetables and meats are purchased fees directly to the auction and the market of La Rochelle. Breads, sauces, ice cream, all is made by us in our kitchen!
Certainly a restaurant worth a visit if you are keen on fish. Ingredients are -logically and fortunately- fresh and of good quality and the dishes are well presented too. However i regret that there are no seafood platters or specific regional recipes offered making you feel that you could very well be anywhere in France

The Restaurant O'gabier and all his crew welcome you on its site. Everyone is on board, the tour can begin! Wishing you a pleasant visit by browsing our pages, we will be happy to welcome you to our table and to serve you a good meal.
O' Gabier is situated at a very small, 'picture postcard' like Marina, main seating is outdoors. We had Moules Au Rochefort to start, served in the traditional black enamel pot, they were to die for good! Then we chose the Sole, simply grilled, came with roasted veg and fries, that was delicious too, and the veg was cooked to perfection....we skipped dessert and went straight for coffee and Liquors. We had a bottle of Dry Muscadet wine which was excellent, (French wine is our favourite) it's not reasonably priced, it cost â¬49 each for two courses, without the wine, we paid â¬26.30.Fab dining experience, all aspects of... But beware of Mosquitos they ate us alive so remember to use repellent!
