We had a great lunch here after stumbling into the restaurant by chance for a late lunchtime. The restaurant was full but they quickly found us a table and sat us down. The kids had a small but perfectly formed choice on the children's menu which was great and i had the best Moule Mariniere i have every had. Felt like we were eating with the family, great value and very welcoming. Thank You !!!PS i did try to order in French and our host was very polite to humour my terrible attempt, but he spoke great English to fill in the gaps.

We ate here whilst visiting Houlgate and whilst it was late afternoon, La Royalty offered the opportunity for a late lunch as most places were closed.It felt very tourist orientated and with a large dining area and typical French meals on the menu. The food came very efficiently and there wasnât anything to complain about but it wasnât anything outstanding either.

This restaurant is so excellent we went twice during our holiday!! The food was very tasty and good value. We had mussels, steak and burgers as well as crepes. The service was brilliant. The second visit the restaurant was much more busy however the food still came as quick and the waiters were still as cheerful doing their best to make the children laugh. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
