Great little restaurant with a little card, changing menus every day. Food is very good, good service. It is run by a very nice couple, very informal. Make sure to reserve, place is limited. We had dinner three times during our stay and enjoyed each one of them.

In charge at Le Suquet since 2009, Sébastien Bras is making new tracks on Aubrac, with the same passion and the same sensibility as his father, Michel. In tune with the rhythms of the seasons, his cooking reflects and transcribes his emotions, inspired by
I haven't had many meals that could match this one--an inimitable blend of originality, elegance, and local flavor. Good service. The dining room is quiet and spacious, with a phenomenal view--nice cocktail lounge, too. This restaurant has voluntarily withdrawn itself from the Michelin guide--don't let that put you off!

Stayed at a chambre d'hôtes nearby and was advised to eat here. It was an excellent recommendation. The staff were friendly and fun, and the locally themed food was amazing! The quality of beef (Aubrac, of course!) was excellent and whether you try the local aligot or the truffade (originating from neighboring Cantal), you will enjoy every bite. Save room and don't bother counting calories during your visit. Eating the regional fare is a true treat and a culinary experience you will want to repeat regularly. I was here for a long weekend with friends and we have eaten there 3 times in 3 days so far (we leave tomorrow so maybe another meal will be there, too!). We had 2 dinners and one lunch. The ambiance is fantastic and the patrons are generally very friendly as well. The nature of the environment seems to make friendliness contagious. You will not go wrong dining here and I suggest you even make a special trip if visiting nearby towns in order to eat here! The one thing I found humorous is that the restaurant is based in Laguiole but they use knives from Spain. To miss eating here would be a tragedy during your visit. Do yourself a favor and plan for it!
