We came here three times whilst on holiday in Biarritz, preferring it to some of the flashier (and pricier) central restaurants. The food was excellent, well cooked and nicely served, and very large portions, which kept my teenage son happy! Staff were really friendly, and the location, on a quiet back road away from the crowds, meant that although it was full it never seemed frantic. Would definitely recommend.

It was my first ever visit in this picturesque town and the owner of nearby hotel, Au Bon Coin, recommended me this restaurant. I was however warned that due to many Spanish tourists that particular weekend, I would maybe not be able to get a table. However, it succeeded my to get a reservation after some minutes of conversation with the boss.Tasty food, quick service and a very good glass of wine to go with the meal, Los Dos Hermanos 2015 (Rioja, Baron de Ley).Recommended.Merci pour votre avis ; nous somme ravis que vous ayez passé un agréable moment !!! Au plaisir de vous voir

We came back three times. Not expensive in Biarritz terms. We had the prawns in garlic, grilled steak, octopus, fresh tuna - all griddled. They have a large selections of mantaditos on display for smaller snacks. A huge selection of wines. Atmosphere is nice and is usually buzzing.

We walked by this restaurant when coming home to the nearby hotel and had a late night drink. When we saw the interior and the dishes served we wanted to come back next night which we did. The food was delicious and there is a great selection of local dishes freshly cooked to order. Service is attentive and friendly. We had to Cote-de-Boeuf as a main course and liked it a lot.

The owners are always in the envirronment. So it is always "safe", the cuisine is traditionnal with many choices.. You are un der the Fronton but in the vue of "le trinquet". A place with a high roof , and a very long "room" or playing space,a wall with a smal narrow wooden shelter on one wall. This complicates the game. You have to cathch a match ,..and you should became a fan. In this envirronement you can discover the generous cuisine.

We are a traditional Basque restaurant of about 50 seats, with a terrace overlooking the village square and views of the mountains. You can taste the local specialties (local charcuterie, tapas, Spanish hake, chipions à la plancha, veal axoa, txuleta 1kg
I think I expected something more from this restaurant. I ordered a salad with ham and cheese and my husband a fish. The lettuce was not really fresh (some leaves were dark) and I think that the fish was heated in microwave, as they arrive a few minutes after we ordered and it's impossible to cook that fish in such a short time. The location is really nice and the service was good.

On a wet and windy night found ourselves the first people in the restaurant. The waitress went through the food available and we shared the starter platter. It was superb - a massive plateful of regional specialities. The calamares were particularly good, but it was all delicious. I had the hake main course, my wife the pork. Again both were fantastic. We had a bottle of the Basque red wine. It was full-bodied and superb.By the time we left the place was full but this did not detract from the great service

Restaurant chaleureux tenu par deux jeunes du pays basque ou les produits locaux sont cuisinés de façon originale et instinctive!! Un seul mot d'ordre "etxean bezala" ( comme a la maison)
Food was incredible, starters were so good we ordered 6 of them being only 3 adults, main courses were excellent too. Staff was adorable, having a baby with us they found a table we could use with the stroller nearby. Wine was perfect too.I really canât understand how people complain about this place, they did their best, knew their menu and advised greatly for wine! Weâre coming back!

We have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions, the bbq grilled T bone steak is one of the best I have ever eaten.Good atmosphere (It can be somewhat noisy as there often large groups of people eating together at the very long tables) very friendly service, English speaking owner, unlimited free cider included in the price of the meal.
