Pizza al taglio Coffee shop Cooked with fresh products All is homemade
Iâve passed this place many times but never at the right moment. But today for lunch I was craving good pizza and Le Comptoir made it happen. Itâs a by the slice pizza shop, but the pieces are quite large and reasonably priced. The owner explained every possible choice (in English) which made choosing harder... :) but went with the classique and the calzone version and wow wow wow! Fantastic, very fresh and tasty. Iâve found my go to pizza place in Vence now! Thanks so much for the wonderful pizza and side note the owner speaks very good English so all the better! :) :) :). I will be back for sure!

Nice cozy small restaurant in the heart of the old town, friendlier and more welcoming than most places. I had veal escalope and chips which was a little disappointing and the escalope didn't have much taste. My wife had a tasty pizza. We enjoyed a carafe of house red, very good value. For dessert, they had the option of a single boule of ice-cream sorbet for 2 euros, which was a nice way to finish our meal.

You'd never guess how good the food and how competent the service is by simply looking at this place. It's tiny and needs a little TLC, but it passed last month's government hygiene inspection with flying colors as the dedicated website indicates. There are 2 kitchens and 2 chefs here : upstairs is the pizza oven and kitchen where the local specialties like stuffed vegetables, fresh homemade pasta and takeaway food are prepared and downstairs is where the owner's wife prepares her native Thai dishes. Yes, there's an actual Thai woman in a medieval village in Southern France! A welcome change from the bland stuff most other places serve if you ask me. If you go downstairs, which you will have to if you need the bathroom, watch your head as the ceiling is very low in the staircase. If the chef is there, which she usually is, you can talk English to her, she doesn't speak French anyway :-) Local dishes are prepared with love, attention to detail, but first and foremost with competence by a former cooking instructor. They're worlds apart from what you can get in most places in the old town of Nice. Not sure one of those stodgy chard tarts is something you'd like for dessert? Try the one they make here, with rum-marinated raisins and enough pine nuts to make you wonder if they get them for free (they cost $20 per lb here). The wine is average, but they have beer, both draft and bottled. The place is open from 10 am to 10 pm (at least). Continously.

We were thinking of going to a fine dinner at the last day of our holiday, but the intended restaurant was full. So we decided to go for a pizza in nearby La Gaudoise pizza place. The guy making the pizzas was very nice. Speaks very good English as well. We selected pizzas from a veeeeery long list of pizza choices. Service was fast and good. Pizza was delicious. thin and crisp crust, there was also plenty of toppings. Pizza was good sized. Consider having one for two persons, if you are not so hungry.Very good place. Only minus comes from the place. Itâs in the side of the parking place. Not very nice place to eat there. Most of the people were just picking up their pizzas. They donât have delivery.I recommend for the taste of pizza and nice guy baking them

Came for a friends birthday and was rather excited.Left feeling a little deflated. The Camembert was delicious but after that nothing tasted fresh.Gnocchi was just ok.Friends beef looked really greasy. We made the best of it and got drunk. Food always looks better when alcohol involved. Won't return.

Le Garnier, situé au mythique croisement du passage à niveau, vous accueille 7jrs/7 et toute l'année! Endroit incontournable de Nice Nord , nos équipes vous attendent et sauront vous recevoir de la meilleure des façons.
I recently visited this restaurant whilst away in Nice. It was a highly satisfying visit; portion sizes were excellent, with the mussels a particular hit. Service was a little slow and the restaurant is next to a main road but itâs perfect for a late evening meal. Would recommend.

French pizza championships back to 2005.
I have great childhood memories of eating pizza fresh from the oven of a roadside van in Provence so couldn't pass up the offering from pizza de l'Ara in Vence. We were not disappointed. Wonderful fresh ingredients, generous toppings and any combination you could wish for catering for both children and adult tastes. The large pizzas were indeed large and the leftovers reheated beautifully for childrens' lunch the following day. We'll be back.
