Friends tell us this is one of the best pizza places around, but we just can't see it. We've given it three chances to give us a satisfying pizza experience, and they've failed every time. The crowning glory yesterday was the discovery that the portion of olives on a giant 40cm Anchovy & Olive pizza is precisely three! Three olives on the whole pizza! The 40cm pepperoni also came with just three olives. Let's say an olive weighs around 5g pitted, and with extra toppings being charged at 1⬠each, I make it that each olive cost 33cents, making them 66⬠a kilo. The tomato sauce consists of little more than tomato paste straight from the can, and the toppings are, what can I say, ungenerous. The pizza base is unremarkable, and be careful if you're a mozzarella fan, emmental is the cheese used in many of the pizzas. Service is sluggish, and not very warm-hearted. It seems obvious that the place is aiming to set itself apart from the average pizza joint - the menu tries to look a bit more imaginative and there are hipster beers on offer - but it's a bit of a deception if the pizzas aren't up to snuff. And they aren't.

Petite pizzeria située en plein cÅur du village de Cucuron. Vous pourrez y déguster des pizzas cuites au feu de bois, faites à la main avec des produits de qualité et de saison. Possibilité de manger sur place ou à emporter. à bientôt
In a small beautiful square in Cucuron. Quality dough bases. Tasty toppings. Buy a pizza and enjoy next to the fountain, while locals are socialising outside.

As in most tourist towns and villages in the Vaucluse when lunchtime arrives cafes suddenly change to restaurants. If you don't want lunch - get lost attitude. Le Comptoir is different - just a beer @ 1300? No problem.Tourist stroll, the waiters stroll, all is relaxed, but don't get me wrong, the service is fine, and unusually for the south of France, the staff are friendly.A place to remember.

Wonderful Pizza, risotto, grilled fish. Wood fired oven. Friendly service. Best bistrot we ate at this trip!
Lovely food, very accommodating and great local wine. We had a member come late and it was no problem and they rushed their order so we could all eat together. The salads and pizzas were amazing! Make sure to get a reservation day before!

We dropped in here on a quiet Sunday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by the food ambience and service. Patrick and his lovely wife plied us with freshly made pizza and risotto and the most delicious creme brulee. A good selection of wines, especially itlian rounded out a lovely couple of hours Which were so enjoyable we had to step qquickly to catch the train back to Aix. Back next year! Merci beaucoup Patrick.

Unexpected find and wonderful surprise! Food was home made with genuine ingredients. I had Pasta infused with olive oil, basil, black course pepper, garlic with fresh clams....yum yum! My partner had gnocchi; which had a firm bite, baked in tomato, basil and mozzarella seasoned sauce and was amazing.House rose was very good also.Such a lovely atmosphere, relaxed, laid back, chilled resulting in one of our longest lunches ever.Special mention to the chef/owner who made us feel like we were guests in his home rather than customers in a restaurant.
