On a whim, my wife and I encountered this deliciously delightful place. And, are we overwhelmingly glad we did. Besides, the owner being one of the most delightful people on the planet. The flammenkuchen, was probably one of the most "Cooked to wood oven perfection, we have encountered in the Alsace region. This place also comes with a plethora of pleasant surprises. As, Christian also happens to have trained talking parrots to entertain the masses. If you're lucky enough to come on a Saturday evening, book early.. As, they have a live band that features Christian on the accordion. This is a "Do Not Miss" in the Alsace region..!

We ate here last month. We seated ourselves to a table on the pavement. The waiting staff a mature lady took our order, we tried to make conversation with her , she was not interested. We ate our meal and left, nothing much to say.

Cute old-fashioned bar/bistro with great food in the centre of pretty Wissembourg. Our entrecotes and choucroute were vey good. With Orangina, mineral water and espressos, our bill came to Euros 76.60 for three. Clearly very popular with locals including on the other side of the nearby German border - the staff switch seamlessly between French and German.

Beautiful atmosphere/decor with light streaming through small windows. This elegant little restaurant is family run and offers superb French cuisine. It's on the main floor of a landmark building, a bit north of the main shopping area, but not too far to walk (as are most places in Wissembourg). Our entrees consisted of a classic regional veal dish, perfectly cooked fish, and sides. Everything, dessert and drinks included, felt meticulously prepared. We had a lovely time especially because of our gracious host. Like attending a special dinner party in someone's home.

Das gleichnamige Hotel haben Sie auf Ihrer Liste!!!
Great little hotel and restaurant. Friendly service - menu in French, English, and German. Staff found someone to help in English when they realized some of our party did not speak German or French. Food was lovely and very nicely presented.

We found Americans to be scarce in Wissemborg. There are many German tourists in this now French town but the most interesting and surprising thing is the exquisite French/International cusine. We walked into Au Pont M on our 4th night to find a brillantly beautiful decor and a friendly staff. At dusk the photo shows an amazing view of the river and church. No, they had no English menu, and the server said she'd try to speak a little English. It did not seem to matter at all. Through her efforts we had a wonderful bottle of wine, the most original starters and fresh and bright flavors throughout. The poached egg and ham appetizer was rich and creamy. The smoked duck tartar had a flavor and texture that we have never enjoyed before. Each dish was so well composed with such unique flavors that I find it hard to describe beyond the word PERFECT. Yes, a perfect meal. So if you get to this city go to Au Pont M with absolutely no fear of being disappointed.

Good wide-ranging menu with a variety of local dishes. Very attentive service without being over the top. Restaurant has a great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the area. Would definitely recommend but do make sure that you book especially during weekends and holiday periods.

We were fortunate to stay at the hotel for a business meeting. Each evening, we had cocktails on the side patio. The staff was professional and courteous and never made us wait for service. The dinners were delicious...our second evening's meal we had a lovely foie gras appetizer, wonderfully prepared salmon, and for dessert, an amazing ice cream parfait. Breakfast was served promptly every morning, and included meats and cheeses, along with the usual French petit dejeuner of bread, croissants, juice and coffee. Servers were happy to bring us additional food items, such as scrambled eggs.

Quality of meal and service was outstanding. This restaurant apparently gets few Americans, so we were assigned the waitress who speaks passable English. The room was beautiful, the food and wine were delicious. This is a very elegant restaurant, but the wait staff was gracious and not stuffy at all. The owner visited our tale twice to make sure we were satisfied with our meal, and recommended some of her favorite wine merchants on the Wine Road outside of Colmar. Probably the best meal of our France trip.
